The Kebab Shop, Encinitas CA

I picked up two lamb wraps but one of them was wrong (gave me chicken instead) - will say both lamb and the chicken were very dry and did not have much flavor. Also felt it was expensive for the small amount of meat in the wraps. Only tried the garlic yogurt sauce and it also did not have a lot of flavor

THE WORST CHICKEN KEBAB I HAVE EVER EATEN! I actually cannot believe they have the audacity to charge money for a burnt (aka carcinogenic) - chicken kebab. Absolutely VILE! Eat there at your own peril, but do not say you were no forewarned. The chicken itself was so overcooked (never mind the burnt outside) -I literally almost choked trying to swallow it! Toxics tasting. Sad too, cos I was starving hungry, had not eaten in some time, ant THAT was my reward! AND i PAID money for food I could not eat? Very sad!

I ordered gyro wrap. But, when I got home it was vary very tiny meat and splashed tiny lettuce with big wrap. Basically I just ate the bread and no any sauce it was so dry and so cold I could not eat it. It is crazy.

Ever time I come to Kebab Shop Encinitas, I’m always treated with amazing service. The cashier, Fin, is always so nice and helpful and gave me good advice to try the new delicious steak and I loved it! I love this place, and the food is always on point

Wow, ordered the wrap today and there was very little meat I guess I should have gone to Wendy's

I tried them for the first time a few months ago and became their customer right on the spot buying from them every week. The foos is delicious and really tasted authentic middle eastern food. The shop is brand new and clean.

Stopped by this place for the first time tonight, was glad that we did. We ordered the box with chicken and lamb fries. Both were excellent. Though, we had a personal taste issue with the rice, the owner Christian was more than accommodating in making the issue right. We were equally impressed with the service as with the food. Loved the fact that there was unlimited pump spicy and garlic sauces. Not only that, the place was super clean. There had been some sauce on the floor and the next time I looked, it was cleaned up before I even noticed. This place has great food, great service, and a safe environment. We will be coming back!

So.my love of falafel is pretty well known amongst my family so when I was in Encinitas and was recommended "The Kebab Shop" I figured I'd give it a go. And daaaaaammmnn am I glad I did! It was one of the best falafel wraps and fries I have had. Every element was impeccable - the pickled onions, the hummus, the herbaceous falafel, the flaky wrap, the veggies, & THE SAUCES (highly highly recommend the garlic yogurt sauce and the spicy cilantro sauce). I also really loved the "build your own" design of the menu, you had a selection of proteins (chicken doner, lamb doner, beef meatballs, grilled chicken, or falafel), side options (like hummus, saffron rice, fries, Greek salad), sauces, & meal styles (wrap, plate, or box). And just a FYI, the wraps are HUGE, like the length of my forearm- I should have split it with my husband. Also, don't sleep on the "crave fries"- those crispy fries paired with salty feta, creamy garlic sauce, & pickled onions is the perfect flavor combo, just absolutely divine. Make me want to cry that I don't have this restaurant in my state.

This place is so good! I've been looking for a Mediterranean alternative to Luna Grill since they've been skimping on meat and raising prices lately and the quality has been hit or miss. Tried this place and was blown away. All the dishes are customizable, delicious, and they load you up with protein. I really feel like I'm getting a good value for my money here. Also if you are Muslim they have halal offerings. Great place and will definitely be coming back!

The falafel was unbelievably good, and the kale salad was fresh and delicious. Great place for lunch.

The food and service is good for a fast casual restaurant. I enjoyed the wrap, fries, and the various sauces.

It's a very nice place! It's clean and welcoming. The staff is so helpful. The food is fresh, hot and delicious.
I work across the street so I will definitely be a regular here.

I used to have kebab all the time in Europe. This is the only local place I know that does an amazing job at doing kebab. I go there knowing I'll be having a happy belly no matter what I try. Lately I tried their French fries and pickled pinion: oh my goodness, super rich and delicious! You gotta give it a try once!

I got the Lamb Döner Kebab wrap. Ultimately it was really good - but that meat was so salty and overseasoned and tasted nothing like lamb or meat that comes on a döner lol. But again, i would definitely go back and have it again or try other options. The garlic-yogurt sauce is super light on the garlic and viscous, and they have a wonderful spicy cilantro sauce too. Worth trying for a fresh and simple wrap! Good guys working the counters and back too. Thanks!

We just really like it. Great fresh food and friendly and attendant service. Healthy as well.

Hi all! Went to eat at this restaurant today with friends. I ordered a wrapped kebab! The girl at the checkout was very nice and helpful. Offered options. The service is great! Everywhere is very clean and the toilet is also clean! The food was prepared very quickly, we waited 5 minutes in total! Very happy! The food was fresh and tasty. I haven't eaten such a kebab for a long time. There is a cozy atmosphere in the room, music plays, it's cool, just what you need. Thank you for the wonderful food and service! I will visit more often! I recommend to everyone! You will be very pleased!

This food is DELISH! For a local CA chain, it’s super flavorful and very customizable so it’s great for picky eaters. The main thing about this place though? Top notch delicious sauces that add a bomb boost of flavor. Highly recommend checking out (and they have a San Jose location which i also visited and it’s just as great)!
