The Kebab Shop reviews
17Always great! Other than not having some good Greek and Turkish beer like they used to.tremendous
So far this place looks dope and the music is a nice touch. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Quite small if it’s packed but i got lucky when i showed up. I decided to choose this spot as a pregame snack for the Elton John concert at none other than Petco Park. Also they have 3 sauces to choose from; spicy cilantro, garlic yogurt, and a spicy chili. Bring on the heat - The Kebab Shop. Oh and the menu is simple and clean on the eyes for choosing food. Chairs are metal so watch your knees, and the only sauce I liked was the spicy cilantro. That sauce they give you with the wrap is fire! I wish that was a provided sauce but its only in the back with the staff. The wrap felt like 80% veggie 15% meat 5% feta cheese, so needs a little work especially for the price.
I love this chain and I love this particular one. The staff is super friendly and The food is awesome! So fresh. And even somewhat healthy
Food was good but the restaurant in itself looked a bit shady. Falafel and chicken were too good
I think this has to be said GrubHub and all these other companies that deliver food to us are horrible.they're ruining restaurants.they are not good for all of us because now you have no accountability for when you get bad food. I ordered some food from this place. I have to do it through GrubHub.they don't answer the phone so you have to use the app which overcharges you and get your order wrong. I receive the food completely wrong.luckily they answered the phone and told me oh we're out of the food so we sent you this instead.this is outrageous. I feel like we have gone to the point of disrespect to customers by not answering the phone making an order so you can get it.right now we have to use an app that overcharges us and still gets it wrong.this isn't message to you folks.answer the GD phone!
Absolutely delicious! Fresh, incredible taste and juicy chicken. The staff is so friendly and welcoming too. I was looking for healthy take out close to my hotel and so glad I found this place! It’s so good, I will miss it when I head back home, definitely will return when I’m on town. I had the bowl with greens, rice snd chicken. The cilantro sauce is amazing too.
Not recommend at all.worst Mediterranean “restaurant” I’ve ever seen/ tasted.
Horrible tastes, rice taste like they made it last month, chicken is disgusting.
And the salad was a big joke.
Not fresh, no taste and smell really bad the entire meal.
I had to do a charge back on the money since the owner doesn’t care.
Be aware!
(full meal was thrown away
Nice downtown location w plenty of street parking. We had chicken & lamb dishes w delicious saffron rice & greek style salad w pickled or raw red onion & delicious yogurt sauce. Also hot sauce (siracha-like), garlic yogurt & green spicey cilantro. We will come back for the fries & more kabobs!
Ordered Falafel and crave fries all under 10$. Cant beat such delicious food at such cheap price considering you are in Downtown SD.
Come in you wont be sorry!
Never thought that I would enjoy paying 20. For a wrap. I have been to the kebab shop twice and never tried to downsize my meal. Highly recommended
Amazing food and service. Beautiful set up in store. Sit down inside and outside. You can also buy food to go ready to heat and serve.
Food was good, fresh and reasonably priced for the quality and quantity of their dishes. Staff very friendly. I. Will be back.
I got the meatballs with rice and 6 pieces of Falafel. Rice was dry and little hard. Meatballs were OK but the Falafel were over fried and spicy. Usually I like it spicy but this was too much. Finished a little over half of the Falafels. Not sure if I will ever come back. There are better options across the street at Lotus Thai or others nearby.
Visited several years ago when in town and have always remembered how good it was. Typically that leads to disappointment when revisiting a place, but The Kebab Shop was even better than I remember. The wraps are simultaneously light and filling, fresh, and delicious.
Very delicious food! We got a plate with the rice and a San Diego wrap both with the carved chicken. We were left stuffed as the portions are good. The wrap was huge! I recommend this place.
I absolutely love the Kebab Shop. The ingredients are very fresh. When you get a side greek salad you dont get a major portion of greens, 1 kalamata olive, maybe a sliver of onion, a couple diced tomatoes. Everything is in abundance. There's baby spinach but not a lot. I didnt need any salad dressing because everything in the salad was plentiful. My order came to 23 something. Pricey for me for a meal but EXTREMELY WELL WORTH IT.
They have self serve fountain drinks & in bottles and I think cans. (They have a cooler for drinks but didn't look inside).
They have sauces available that the customer can help themselves to. Its sanitary, operated by a pump thingy. Ample seating inside and out.
One more thing I like is that they offer FUZE tea. I like it. Not overly sweet fake tea. If you're in the area try the Kebab Shop.
Originally ordered from the Kebab Shop closer to Little Italy but they sent me here instead. Food wasn't even close to warm and it was terrible quality. Wish I asked for my money back. 0 stars if I could.
