The Kickin' Crab, San Jose CA

Excellent food and they took precautionsconcerning the Covid epidemic. I felt safe and had a good meal.

The atmosphere really makes this place shine. I love it for brunch because the inside is so bright and pretty. You sit inside a large rooftop greenhouse with hanging plants overhead.

The salmon plate and the eggs Benedict are delicious. They also have wonderful cocktails.

There is a small cart of revolving treats that you can opt for as an addition to your meal.

Our group could have not red meat for dietary and religious reasons, and the order came out with sausages after we specified we wanted it substituted out. Mistakes happen, but the "new" order that came out still had sausage in it, that we found at the bottom of the bag when we were nearly finished.

We brought this up to their attention and they were very rude and argumentative about it-first arguing that there was no way the sausage could have ended up in there (with the sausage in plain sight) then saying we should still pay for it since we ate a lot of it. After a whole phone call having to be made to the owner, they reluctantly took it off the bill, hence the 2-star instead of 1.

We would have not eaten even a bite had we known there was even meat juice in the bag.but they seemed convinced we lied about it somehow, when it seems most likely that our "new" order just was our old order that had the sausage picked out by hand, so we were the one that were lied to.

I would have appreciated if they treated this situation with the same respect as if we had someone with a severe allergy with pork sausages, because that's how we ourselves treat it, but instead we were met with unapologetic arguments. What happened was morally wrong and I will not be returning to Kickin' Crab.

Extremely disappointed with their service the other day. We stopped in to place a to go order. After we walked in, my friend went to go stand in the line while I went a little off to the side to where the menus were to look at what else I might want to order. The cashier was not only slow, but when it came to my friend's turn in line, she looked right past him to try to help someone else (there was just one single filed line.so I have no idea why or how she would not see him and try to help the next guy) I asked loud enough for her to hear if he was next, and she stopped and only at that moment acknowledged him and says, 'oh, you next? ' He reply's 'yeah, but you can help the other guy first if you want. ' No apologies or anything from her, and she turns to help the next guy. At that point I got annoyed and did not want to order anything else. But since we had promised my daughter garlic noodles, we did end up getting just that. I'm not sure if I'd be back anymore because of the service which is sad, because the food is actually pretty good.

Food and garlic noodles are awesome! I usually only eat shrimp and it's perfect here, not overcooked. Like this place better than Boiling crab.

Seafood was overcooked and service was sub par. Too bad because the seasoning was really good. Will not return

Seafood and service here is great. Got there about one, it wasn't busy. I will be back with my relatives.

This place is great! Just 2 min drive away from my parents house. Food is delicious. Can't go wrong with the shrimp and garlic noodles! I got my cajun fix in with some sake. Still trying to find a place like this in Rocklin. I guess I'll have to drive 2 hours until I do. Lol

Overall it was a good experience I enjoyed the sauce at just and juicy better, but they had good service for what seemed to be high school kids. Although there were a lot of them there. The shrimp could have used more.flavor.recommended

I love the sause and the seafood selections here, the Cajun fries and garlic Noodle is also amazing.

Got the Cajun spiced shrimp and put in a pan with 1 pint of cream and 45 ounces of tomato sauce. Steep until warmed through, remove shrimp, clean and chop and add back to sauce with some andouille sausage and pasta. Yummy!

Love the garlic noodles! No parking and expect to wait to be seated. The east San Jose location is just as good with no wait and more parking

Have been here a few times its been alright. However the last time i came here i went w/ a group of ppl and at this place after a certain amout of ppl you have to pay a certain amount of tips. Well the service sucked. We waited for our menus for like 15 min cuss the host “forgot to give us our menus”. It was annoying. She had one job.

Even on their busy days they still good good service and try their best. They do this with what to me looks like overstaffing and that’s fine with me. Employees look like college students with very good customer service skills and you won’t get that retail clock in clock out frustrated easily employees you’ll find elsewhere

This place rocks good music selection the food is basically the best from the seasoning to the food it's self very hot when it arrives to the table and it's not to hard on the pocket. Great spot to take the family. Or if you're just with a group of friends.

This place is amazing. And the prices are very reasonable. The service was good, but the parking lot can be a bit of a nightmare. The earlier you get there the better. Just be prepared to wait for a little while for the food which is understandable cus they make it to order.

Really good selection and food. Order came out fast and was nice and hot. Staff is a buncha high schoool kids, be patient they tend to forget alot of things but generally all pretty nice. The garlic noodles are very good as well as the sweet potato fries.

Once again brought my family and all the crawfish was bad and spelled rotten. I had the first bite thinking it was me until my dad and sister brought it up and open up a few crawfish and was rotten and bad. Spoke to the waitress and said there frozen which whouldnt be a reason why they smelled bad, and lost my appetite.

This spot is always jammed packed with waiting customers. Their food is pretty good here. We usually get one of the combos to share. 2lbs of shrimp n 1lb of clams with all the seasonings. We order to go and just make a mess at home.

This is everything I want in a seafood place.eat with your hands, drink cold beer, and suck on crawfish! I will go back.
