The Landings reviews
16Very nice restaurant at the Palomar Airport. Friendly staff, great food and reasonable prices. Wil definitely return next time I'm in the area.
This is a hidden gem! The service is phenomenal. Both the food and drink offerings are delicious. Great place to go for lunch or a date especially with the great bands.
Great place to go for lunch and work. Reasonable prices and good food. Just tried their dinner service tonight and my filet was cooked perfectly, veggies were tender and all of it was seasoned well. Highly recommend.
Stopped in for lunch Wednesday. The service was great. I had the French Dip and it was outstanding. A great place to eat if you’re in the area
Great restaurant. Cool airport views. Very nice outside patio with seating. Great beer and superb food
A recent remote control airplane mishap inspired this visit to The Landings.
Located at the McClellan Palomar Airport in Carlsbad, it provides a nice selection of indoor/outdoor dining with a pretty decent sight line of the planes taking off and landing. Although the primary draw for our Review Team was the atmosphere, we had to admit that the food served was also good. @carlsbadlandings will be directly in front of you as you come through the main airport entrance, but be sure to park to the left of the restaurant. There is plenty of free parking on that side that will help you avoid a parking ticket or the towing of your vehicle. It is not uncommon for outdoor live entertainment to be offered on weekend evenings, so be sure to check on that in advance. And that’s…Henry’s Take. @henrystake
In town for the weekend, to visit Friends who live in Carlsbad, came here for Breakfast, worst service ever, our waitress was very unpleasant, and all over the place. Ordered coffee, waited literally 5 minutes for cream amd sugar, coffee was cold. Hope the food makes up for the service. On a lighter note the planes were cool. Ordered the Eggs Benedict it was amazing, Gwen the owner was Amazing.
I was a little hesitant to try this burger but let me tell you. The peanut butter bacon cheese burger is
I've lived in the La Costa area for 15 years and have frequented this restaurant during that time. The food is great they have a nice patio, a nice dance floor and live music on the weekends. We walked in tonight hoping to hear the rock band and have a nice dinner and drinks. We were told at the hostess stand that it's now $30 per person on Fridays and Saturday nights. Seriously? Does this money go to the band? Otherwise, shame on you! There are plenty of other places in Carlsbad where you can go and hear live music enjoy a nice dinner and drinks without having to pay an outrageous cover charge! $10 would have been more reasonable. I won't be returning here unless this policy changes
Try it! All food is fantastic and service is super personable from hostess to the bar with Omar! Filet cooked perfectly med rare with a phenomenal char, brussel sprouts are killer and crab cakes even with added corn, emulate MD. Oh ya, get your dance on with local bands on weekends!
Good quality food, relaxed brunch service on a Sunday. They have a diverse menu. Good spot for a well-healed lunch. Definitely not your standard airfield cafe.
OK, this place surprised me. Pretty good food and atmosphere/vibe. Strange lunchtime hidden gem. I hear it's great.to go when they have live music. If I go again and have a good experience with that then I'll be giving this place 5 stars.
I went in on a busy Sunday afternoon. We were immediately seated, ordered and served drinks. It took about 30 minutes for food to come this visit, but most days it comes out very quickly.
On busy days, just enjoy the ambiance, view, music, and drinks. Who doesn't like watching the planes come and go?
Food was delicious. Drinks tasty. Friendly service from everyone. Relaxing environment. Definitely a must-go if you're bored of strip mall restaurants and chains. The view is nice. The prices are also very reasonable. All around fun experience.
We dined here twice (dinner and breakfast) on a quick trip here and the wait staff was outstanding! They were very accommodating with our kiddos and the food was delicious! We will be back for sure!
Excellent food. I loved the Devil's Mess Burrito. I have had the BBQ pork sandwich, chicken pesto panini, roast beef panini and Strawberry goat cheese salad. It was all good. Everything I've tried has been delicious. We are so lucky to have this little cafe in Carlsbad.
