AMAZING! What a cute spot and delicious food! I enjoyed a fully packed out, fresh, flavorful lobster roll which came with tasty baked beans and cole slaw! I cannot say enough about how delicious each and every bite was! And if you’re in the mood for a hearty bisque, ask for their 50/50! You won’t regret it! Then finally, as I always love to feel welcomed where I go, I have to say, there is an adorable, lively and happy couple that owns it and will share great big smiles and great vibes with you! WHAT A SPOT!

This place is a gem! Had an amazing clam chowder bowl with the ‘secret sauce’. Quenching our thirst with an ice cold Arnold Palmer. The owner is very pleasant and passionate about his cuisine. We will definitely come back for that lobster roll and divine bread bowl.

Best lobster roll, lobster Mac n cheese, and chowder lobster bisque combo soup I have ever had! The owner is so friendly and accommodating - we had a party of 7 and he brought out an extra table and chairs for us to use even after he was closed. I really appreciated his kindness and was so glad we got to try the food. We will definitely be back!

I'm assuming it was the owner who served me. He was really nice and cracked a few jokes while I was ordering. It was my first time having a lobster roll. $30 seemed kinda crazy for 1 roll, it's size, and the amount of meat you get, but I had to try it while on vacation. Two small sides are included. The beans were ok, but the blue cheese slaw was great. The cioppino was a pretty small bowl, and the shellfish seemed a bit overdone. I had to try it though to see what the rave was all about. It just didn't hit the spot for me personally.

This tiny restaurant is, seriously, one of the best reasons to visit San Clemente.
Two words - 'shell-free Cioppino'. OH MY WORD, filled with seafood, shellfish, veggies, and spices. It was so delicious I almost wished that I had ordered a bowl instead of a cup. But I'm glad I did because then I had room for the Seafood Deviled Eggs. Three eggs, six halves each filled with a spiced standard yolk mixture and topped with lobster claw meat, flaked crab, or large salad shrimp - so good!
Dan, the owner, is as nice as can be. Genuine and kind. There are a few tables to enjoy the delicious food. Located in Old Downtown San Clemente, the Lobster Shack is definitely worth the drive if you're in Orange County, CA.
I ate half my meal at the restaurant and then drove to the beach to enjoy the rest with my Arnold Palmer. Awesome afternoon

It was delicious but very disappointed on the service. It is definitely not worth $19. They give you very little lobster. Not worth the trip or money.

Had the flight of soups and all were good. Would probably order a bowl of the cioppino next time. Service was very friendly

Great little place. My wife and I usually get the lobster roll, blue cheese slaw, clam chowder, lobster bisque and the shrimp cocktail. All really good. They have tables outside and there is a good ice cream place in the same center. The shrimp cocktail has a good horseradish cocktail style type sauce that comes with it. The lobster roll comes with a lot of meat. The chowder and bisque are good. The blue cheese slaw is a much better option than regular slaw. I hate 99% of slaws but this is the best idea for slaw IMO.

Amazing lobster rolls and lobster bisque! The man at the counter (I assume the owner) was so nice and gave a great recommendation for a beach. This was a great place for wonderful food!
