Amazing layout, great for kids and tons to explore but food lacks and prices are obscene. Think $8 cold brew coffee and $25 hamburgers for walk up no service dining

I enjoy this place.lawn games, paddle boats, good all around fun for the fam and adults.cocktails a bit steep in price, food menu can expand a bit.but otherwise, is a great spot and worth checking out.

Great food and drinks, but expect to pay a premium for everything due to the location. Beer = $11, cocktails = $15, small plates = $22, entrees = $35-40, side dishes = $15, and valet parking = $14. It's nice fun place with diverse groups. There were a bunch of families with kids, bachelorette parties, romantic couples, and groups of friends just hanging out. There were a bunch of games out on the lawn like corn hole, ping ping, and chess. This place is outdoors for the most part so masks are not required. In fact, none of the staff wore masks at all.

Very relaxing place to hang around with nice food and beverage selection. Can play corn hole, table tennis, etc. I suggest carpooling as you need to pay valet in order to park.

This place is great! It's like going to a wedding at Cal amigos without having to get dressed up. Calamigos is an amazing wedding and banquet venue attached to The Malibu Cafe. This place has cornhole and other lawn games and is great for the whole family.

Valet parking only ($14), not necessary, it was a hugh parking field, since it is in malibu, the prices were high, the location is surrounded by trees, and there is a pond, that you can use paddle boats, but do not expect to see the ocean or the coast line.

Love this place, no reservations needed, u grab a table, order food (like to go type) u pick it up and eat, nice big outdoor bar, live music, there's a coffee bar, great atmosphere and great place to hangout

Beautiful place to just hang out, relax and enjoy a live band. Food and drinks a little too pricey but I believe you can provide your own. Saw some people with a blanket who were picnicking.

The experience I had at the Malibu Cafe was above average. Prices on the menu were a little higher than expected and there wasn't a wide selection of goods to purchase; however, each dish was served and prepared in a good manner. You could taste the quality of the food indeed. Even though there wasn't a special cling to the food, it was still pretty decent. Would I go back? Probably not. The overall service did not make any impressions good enough for me to consider visiting again. However, I do not regret going and I would recommend it to someone, it's more of a one-time visit kind of place for me. They also had an area for taking pictures and playing some games a little bit further away from the dining area which could be a great place for families to gather. There was also a nice walk there inside the club. In conclusion, it was a good and enjoyable experience.

Great place to just chill with friends or family. Children safe. Enclosed area, with games for them to play, as well as adults. Music and two walk up full bars.

This place is a hidden gem of Malibu. Organization is little weird. We got little upset with hosting concept. Besides that this is very relaxing place and very kids friendly. Food is absolutely masterpiece. Who ever is chef in the kitchen is a real artist. Literally every dish is a unique piece of art, not just in presentation, but in combination of tastes, spices and the whole experience. I really felt like eating a masterpiece.
This place has a big area for kids to run around, pond with chairs around to chill out, games and so much more to easily spend a whole day here with family and friends.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I PROMISE YOU WONT REGRET NOT COMING HERE! I’ve come to malibu cafe periodically throughout the years and it has Unfortunately taken a turn for the worse. It’s weird, they have an all new look, beautiful ambiance, and aside from that, it has nothing else going for it.

The food has only gotten worse and more expensive. The management will not let you sit at your reservation time. We had to wait 15 minutes then one of our guests had to use the bathroom and they wouldn’t sit us until she got back. You would think they do this because they were busy, but when we got to our table, half the place was empty… I really want to like this place but every time I come here I leave feeling more disappointed and like I was tricked. They even have an “environmental fee” that no other restaurant in LA has.

I won’t be coming back and I can’t in good conscious recommend this place to anyone.

Mediocre experience here. The setting was nice but a little kitschy, probably more suited for children or events. I was surprised that none of the wait staff was wearing masks. The food quality was average and highly overpriced. We stayed at Calamigos Ranch- the setting and food was better for money spent.

Beautiful place, great place to spend time. However their service is not great. We had a reservation for 7 people, they seated us in a corner wrap table. So uncomfortable with that many adults. There was a table available 1 feet away, no reservation or taken and because it would fall under a different server they didn't accommodate at all. Customer service can be better.
