The Meadows Apartments, Riverside CA

It’s an okay place to live in but the management is a joke. They have a huge insect problem that they don’t take seriously. This summer my apartment was a party for cockroaches. The “pest control team” that comes in 2 times a month barely spray anything. I asked them to clean my garage because of the filth and spider webs that were there, 1 week later and they haven’t done anything. Mind you that it is $75 per month for that garage. I gave it up cuz I had spiders all over my car. So they’d rather lose money than fix the actual problem. They are helpful in other things like maintenance around the apartment but overall need huge improvement.

Now closed on sundays, there's a "emergency maintenance number for sunday" called and whoever answered the phone expected me to know the name of the faucet parts and then there's supposedly 1 guy working on sundays for all the properties? And on top of that because the issue I have in the kitchen I can't cook or wash dishes or anything because they can't come and fix a little issue because he's busy doing something else but I see another maintenance guy walking around the property, please do better some of us work a lot and only have 1 day to do everything at home

The office helped us a lot with being able to move our assigned sport inside the gate and closer to our apartment, however we asked about getting a half garage and they said they put us on a list and then we never heard back about it. The gym is only open during office, which are the hours of a typical work day for majority of people and so I was never able to use it. The pool isn't cleaned very often and has a lot of chlorine in it. The barbecues are never working and cautioned off, yet they said we couldn't get our own small one. There is a sewage problem and they get backed up quite often. The gardener they have is horrible and the grass is butchered every week by them and so it doesn't even look good. The rent isn't horrible for the size of their 1 bed/1 bath apartment, other places we looked at were 100 sq/ft smaller and rent was more. The gate does break down a lot so that is inconvenient. Overall it isn't a horrible place to live but things could definitely improve, and it would be great if the gym hours changed for people that work during the office hours.

The apartment I was in had cockroaches, the a/c units don’t work good, and they overcharge to rent a place there ($2000). Plus they hit me with bogus charges when I moved out.

I enjoy Living at the Meadows, although I think the Gardner’s could do a better job of cutting the grass and cleaning up afterwards, the Meadows have met all my needs, the office staff is great and I really don’t have any Major Complaints, I I’m a person who is very greatful for the things God has given me So far, and living at the Meadows is preparing me for home ownership, how I treat my apartment and out doors of my apartment is how I will treat my Home, I’m Thankful!
