The Mobius Arch Loop Trailhead reviews
23It was too hot for us so we never made it to the arch. We went around 11am. It was almost 90 degrees. Views and rock formations were interesting.
Great views and almost too much to see! The trail is a easy hike. Be sure to bring plenty of water and sun screen.
Tricky with loose gravel on rock in places, but quick with breathtaking views. We'll curated for the big reveal.
Super easy hike, I'd recommend you do this either early in the day or after the sun isn't at it's highest point so you can take some good pics without the sun blinding your pics:)
Cool hills. Very weird structures. Path has good signs, which we found even in the dark. Quick stroll around to the Mobius Arch. Fun quick stop, but not worth going out of your way for. Gorgeous backdrop of mountains and valley in the distance though.
I arrived there during nighttime. I had planned to camp and wake up with a view I won't forget. It that is true!
Pretty great trail in the Alabama Hills. You can see Mt. Whitney through the arch which is pretty special.
Easy hike. Worth going, just to see it. Take water even though it's short because it's hot out there.
Loved the hike, easy and short, and the area is interesting the rocks around and the arches are magnificent.
Great short-loop hike, maybe 30-40 minutes on a leisurely pace with kids, impressive views highlighted of course by the arch.
Beautiful location!
Be careful if trying to stargaze here though. It's really easy to get lost trying to find the trail back, especially without a sufficiently bright torchlight.
My kids love to come here and climb the rocks all over like little goats and amazing view of the mountains nice little hike to have with the family.
I loved seeing the legendary rock, but in some ways though it has been a bit over blown, so to speak. Lol. Today, there are just so many people here, it seems more tourist destination than a work of nature. When we were leaving one SUV was speeding, kicking up dust and gravel and fishtailing. It seemed dangerous on the dirt road-maybe he thought it was the Daytona Racetrack. I will come back when it is not the weekend-DONT COME ON SAT OR SUN.
Alabama Hills in Lone Pine, California was amazing. If you love nature and rocks and hiking and exploring, you have to check it out. I went to see the residual boulders where they filmed Tremors.
This is an amazing place for anyone and everyone. Kid friendly also. Trail is not hard at all:)
Awesome! Very well worth it- not far from lone pine- many places to stop if you are into photography and History- Dogs are cool with it too-!
Been there many times, mainly at night doing night photography. For the shortest hike to the arch (quarter mile), and if you don't want to hike the entire loop trail (1.25 mile), start at the northwestern most trail head. If you start at the arch loop trailhead closest to the road, it is a tad longer hike to the arch.
Not a particularly exciting trail, and the Mobius arch is interesting enough but not amazing. And the heart arch doesn't look like a heart at all once you leave the parking lot. But I guess if you're not a climber (I am), it's a good way to get a sense of all the different rock formations in Alabama Hills.
Short trail with lots of interesting rock formations. Short hike anyone could do with a great view of the mountains. Stay on the trail to protect it for years to come! Rock formations can be slippery and the little rocks around can give easily.
