$35 fee per day for parking, Location is good.
I have stayed at Humphreys, best western, and neither of them charge parking but they do have more amenities.
Check in was cold and when I politely asked IF there was an upgrade option, I got a very abrasive no. I understand if it wasn't available but be gracious when saying no

Tidy little spot that allowed us quick access to the marina. Rooms were very nice, pricing was cheap for the quality. Only small issue was the required valet being a bit pricey but we found street parking nearby.

We chose this hotel based on location. It is super close to where our family lives in OB. The hotel rooms are cute and the clerk at the front desk, (Sandra, I believe) told us we were given a slight upgrade on the room, which was not the case. It’s the exact room I paid for. Anyway…super disappointing! Sharing the room with my aunt, and there is a bathroom with a frosted glass wall and the beds are on the other side of the wall. There is supposed to be a shade on the other side of the glass that faces the room, but it is broken. There is no draw string and no shade. I called immediately down to front desk and the clerk was very direct and flat out told us no that she would not move us to another room. Even if I wanted the “downgrade”. So, now, anytime either of us has to use the restroom, the light shines into the room where the other person is trying to sleep. Super annoying! Terrible customer service!

I absolutely LOVED our stay at The Monsaraz and can’t wait to come back some day. The room design is a bit “funky” but it is comfortable and I loved having a courtyard room. It was such a unique boutique hotel type feel with the reliability of being a Hilton flagged property. Service was great from top to bottom, the area around the hotel felt very safe even though it was a bit of a drive to get to the “tourist” part of San Diego. It’s a bit pricey but it does feel like you get what you pay for!

They play very loud music and it even bothers surrounding hotels. It goes on for hours. Would not recommend staying here and unfortunately not at other nearby hotels because of them.

Only here for a salsa event in the courtyard. Event started early so ended early. Great atmosphere, plenty of seating (& dance space).
Hard to find street parking so $10 valet is with it!

This location is in great location to great sights with awesome views of the Point Loma Pier. Bar offers great drinks and food but a bit pricey even during happy hour. This location doesn’t offer public parking so you will have to pay for valet.

Stay was OK, however for hilton quality it lacks.
Upon check in we were told anything about happy our, restaurant not even check out time. We were told your the last ones to check in your two rooms aren't together.
In our room two items were broken a chair and the iron. Items where never replaced during our stay. When my husband told the front desk with an hr of checking in, the front desk asked my husband do you want another room? We had just been told they were booked and had no other rooms, supposedly!

Parking is offered valet only, except they don't tell you trucks will be $47 a night until you get there. Cleaning staff never restocked out toilet tissue. At 2 am running out of toilet paper isn't good, but then go to tissue box to find out that wasn't changed either. It had blue line warning it's almost empty. Front desk checked me out at 4: 30 in morning and changed me for valet that I never used. I parked at Ramada next door $20 a night. Except one night we did Street park. I sent front desk staff screen shot proof of where my vehice was parked through out my stay. They had no problem charging me, it took hours to resolve.
Vallet staff at your hotel is dishonest. I seen your valet guys park horrible to prevent someone else front parking infront or behind them on street. We watched him, as he moved his car so his buddy could park. Shouldn't guest be a priority?

Disappointed there is no pool, or jacuzzi.

I do not recommend this hotel for business meetings. The audio visual equipment did not work properly. The conference room is totally open to the lobby. I ordered food for the meeting and was charged well over the amount advertised. When I asked for an itemized receipt no one responded to my email. I asked again and did not receive a response then either. I called and left a message for the sales team and they did not return my call. When I finally got ahold of someone they made excuses for not responding. Still waiting for resolution.

The rooms are cozy and chic with a lot of space with very comfortable beds. The room is clean and has a stylish decor. The restaurant is impressive with a variety of seating options. The courtyard is spacious with cozy seating and a fireplace to enjoy. The food is delicious. I highly recommend the mac and cheese. The meatball big enough for two. Add the chicken empanadas for a tasty meal for two.

I was only in town for two days and I wanted to stay closer to the water than the city. The Monsaraz caught my eye, so I booked it based on some of the pictures and location. I arrived with my rental car which was taken by valet. I was given a ticket to call it as needed.

Once inside, there was a small check-in desk and I was greeted warmly by the person at the desk. I was given my key to a room on the 2nd floor and walked over to the elevator. The hotel is not very large, so the room was quick to walk to. The rooms are definitely unique, but smaller than I expected. The bed was comfortable and it was clean. The bathroom was also nicely decorated and had good water pressure, but the water was not as hot as I would have liked. The room came with a small coffee maker and refrigerator below it.

As a diamond member, I was given a credit to use for food which doesn't cover the whole cost of breakfast, but it was still a credit. I did walk around the area and there are some decent restaurants and a grocery store down the street. I found the hotel met my basic needs, but I would say it was a special or great hotel.

The hotel from 2021 is clean, well-maintained and the staff is very friendly. Valet parking is expensive, but you can find free parking in the area. The hotel is located on a busy street. We can't judge whether the rooms there are loud. We had booked “Veranda with a View”. This meant a view of the inner courtyard, which could also be used by guests of the closed restaurant until 10 p.m. The room was stylish and clean. The included breakfast meant a voucher of $18 per person, which had to be used in the aforementioned restaurant. However, this was disproportionately expensive for the breakfast offered there. Each time the result was a not insignificant additional payment. The fact that the bill when checking out was ultimately too high due to incorrect numbers from the restaurant is only mentioned in passing. However, this was able to be clarified and corrected by mutual agreement after around 30 minutes.

This is a hidden gem of a hotel in a super fun area near Fisherman’s Landing and Point Loma. The rooms are comfortable and the location is excellent. All of the staff we interacted with were great! We have a wonderful stay here while fishing in San Diego. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great little hotel. Parking is horrible though. 37 dollars to have valet park car on public street. Only 3 or 4 spots available. That part sucked.

We reserved this boutique version of the Hilton product because we were in town for one night and thought, let's give this new hotel a try. We arrived, saw our TINY room, the environment, the lack of food and beverage service, and immediately checked out. First, the positive.it was well decorated and clean. Now the negative. (1) it is clear why it is dead w/no guests, (2) located very busy and LOUD street, (3) there is only valet parking @ $37/night and NO street parking within blocks, (4) they claim to have dining and a bar but, due to the lack of service staff/bartender, the bar was closed and "dining" is in a courtyard, (5) we were on vacation and (even thought the bar had no bartender) we asked if anyone could make us a margarita, the reply was "ugh", we do not make margaritas but we do sell tequila, (4) the staff snotty and pretentious, (6) we checked in, experienced the hotel's shortcomings for an hour, did not disturb the room, and asked to check out of this EMPTY hotel but were refused reservation cancellation.

Rude receptionist (who claimed to be a manager when I asked to speak to one) who asked me and my husband (gay couple) if we really need one bed.

Also they charge 24$ for two bottles of water and do not honor Hilton Honors even though are affiliates.
