Super nice staff. Great things to see for kids and older. Check the dates for the Lego trains though, it's not every day.

As I was riding today I noticed a museum opened sign. Since I did not realize there was a museum there I decided to visit and, was happily surprised! Although the gardens are a bit dormant now you can tell they look great in the spring and summer there was an old garage and printing press to see along with many vintage and antique items inside the house. There was a nice young lady there giving tours and answering questions, she seemed very knowledgeable, I only over her talking to other patrons while I was exploring. And interesting historical house in Palo Alto I will visit again and look closer at all it has to offer.

I visited the Lego exhibition in the back, but also checked out the main museum. It's really cool, full of old tools, appliances, toys, decor, grocery packaging. Like stepping back in time.

What an amazingly delightful treasure here in Silicon Valley! This is an old family house, restored and filled with household objects from around 1900s to 1970s, for example: ice box, phonograph, telephone, Erector set, kitchen tools, doctor's office. My favorite were the old timey product package designs!
The gardens are beautifully designed in the style of a 1943 Sunset magazine Victory Garden. Sitting under the trellis on a hot day was divine.
The current temporary exhibit is for heating and cooling tech, so you can see how your great grandparents kept cool in the summer heat.

This is such a cute little museum. It had a beautiful garden outside and it was so lovely being there on a sunny day.

The museum was definitely a little pricey but there are various discounts available online and it's free for kids 5 and under. My family and I had a great time. Definitely recommend going early as the space is small and it can be tricky getting pictures without other people around. Also recommend buying a pair of glasses at the entrance which totally enhances the experience!

The employees Thomas, Buffy, Will, Charlie, Shawn, and Pierre were incredible! They were so helpful, welcoming, and really made my experience the best. I definitely recommend this place to everyone - not just for great photo opportunities but because it's something new and fun that isn't anywhere else in San Francisco, CA!

Very Beautiful Museum. Well put together with amazing history. The workers here are very friendly and inviting and very knowledgeable. I also love that the place is wheelchair accessible.

With the exception of places to eat, my friend and I didn't too much planning as far as things to do during our trip to California (I tend to anchor my itineraries with food and play it by ear around that). One thing however that we did plan in advance was a visit to The Museum of American Heritage. While I was not familiar, my friend had heard good things so we got ourselves some tickets.

I discovered this museum when I learned of the amazing annual holiday Lego train show. The museum is also a great place to visit. The docents are knowledgeable. There are a number of hands on exhibits for young ones. I was particularly interested in the Erector set exhibit as this toy was invented and manufactured in New Haven, CT where I live. I look forward to returning when the garden is open.

This place hosts Bay Area Lego User group. It also hosts the Repair cafe that helps “upcycle” a lot of home appliances and offers fixes for bicycles.

As a member of BayLUG, our local LEGO group, I am extremely grateful for a place to have our meetings. I also enjoy being a part of the Holiday Show that benefits both our club and the museum.

The museum has really cool exhibits that change often and the docents are very knowledgeable and kind. You will learn alot with each and every visit.
