Bizarre and interesting.i wouldn’t recommend trying to “get it”. Just embrace it.good place to spent 2-3 hours.only complaints are that it’s super crowded considering you have to book tickets by time and it’s extremely dark, so dark that at some points you can’t read the descriptions.

There’re a lot of interesting collections. Too bad can’t take any photos to share with others but this is for sure a worth to check place.

Such a wonderfully bizarre little experience. A great date for you and the weirdo in your life. Really fun and interactive experiences, and not to spoil anything but if you're a fan of murder and nature documentaries, this is the place for you. Very cute opportunity to get some tea in an open air setting within the museum with a lovely surprise while you do. Brings back the feeling of being a kid in a candy shop! Would highly recommend as a unique experience in LA.

They fun and very fascinating museum. Recommend checking it out if you're in the area.

They also have a really interesting gift shop filled with. Very curious and obscure items that relate to the exhibits inside.

If it's your first time there, I recommend an hour or two to see everything in the museum! Lots of stuff to look at.

Don't mess the beautiful and relaxing tea garden upstairs where they serve a cup of tea and a small cookie!

Mysterious and quirky. It felt small at first, but turns out to be a big and informative maze. Played cat’s cradle with my friend.

Unlike any other museum. Hard to describe, and if I tried, it might spoil the experience for you. See for yourself!

This place is awesome. I'm going to echo the other reviews and just say that if you're curious enough to research what this place is, you'll probably enjoy visiting it.

Classic LA weird place. This is the kind of place that makes LA special not Soho House. It’s magical and strange and full of surprises.

This place is wild and is a cannot miss hidden gem in Los Angeles. You will not get exhibits or even just the experience of being in this place anywhere else. Fascinating, whimsical, absurd are all word that come to mind and they are all great positives.

Favorite place on earth. Even after reading Mr. Wilson's Cabinet of Wonder decades earlier, I wasn't prepared for how brilliant it would be.

This whole place is a commentary on modern museums. However, the way it's been implemented, it's not worth the time and money to go here.

Two stars because it would be a fun prank to recommend this to someone visiting LA.

This museum is a must see for those interested in the macabre and unusual. Definitely worth a trip! People expecting a formal museum are foolish. It never claims to be that. Maybe read more than the name before going. The exhibit descriptions need to be updated with more detail. I wish they kept up the outside a bit more to improve the curbside appeal. Walked by for years and it's always kinda a mess with untrimmed plants and trash. Inside could be a little cleaner. But overall a great time and very interesting, especially if you don't haul a bunch of unrealistic expectations and start being judgy. Just enjoy it.

This place is very weird, in a good way. It has an eclectic collection of no longer used technologies, scientific theories, artwork, etc. From microscopic works of art to outdated medical practices, medieval writings about horses impregnated by the West Wind, superstitions about the Cat's Cradle, and more. There's also a tea room on the roof with doves and finches. The only drawback was that the place was too dark for my aging parents. I didn't mind it though.

I had a great time here and it's definitely worth the price of admission.

Absolutely incredible and unique vibe at this place that I will not spoil at all. All I will say is that there is more here than meets the eye, and if you have the opportunity to go into this place completely naive and unknowing, do not ruin that for yourself - just go. You will not be able to unsee what's behind the curtain after it's been seen. Enjoy!
