The Nest Asian Bistro reviews
15 Wow, the bahn mi flight was DELICIOUS
Chill relaxing joint with tasty food. It can take a lil bit of time for the items to come out of the kitchen when it's busy. Still lovely
Okay food, but is ridiculously understaffed. Food comes out in a random order and some of it took over an hour.
Not crowded early on a Friday (5: 30) and deliciously crispy chicken & waffles, steak bao buns good as well. Thai tea a bit too sweet but otherwise enjoyable meal.
Their wings and vermicelli bowls are amazing! We order from them every couple weeks and it is always delicious!
The food was very mid. Egg rolls had meat in them but weren’t specified as such in the menu. The service was non-existent as you order yourself, but when I walked in and didn’t know this, instead of telling me to order myself, I got straight up ignored. The atmosphere was cool but the tables were dirty.
This bistro is amazing. The service is great and the food is delicious. I ordered the spring rolls and the Beef broth. Both were very tasty and delicious. Definitely coming back soon!
Really mediocre food, flavor was okay. The fries had no salt. And the dry rubs both tasted the same. Also. 60¢ for sauces that are half full is not a vibe. Definitely ask for more than one sauce cup they are small as well.
The absolute worst restaurant I have ever been to in my life! I waited two hours and they missed half my order! I had to go five times to check the status of my order only to be told they were understaffed! The worst customer service ever! And the food was disgusting! The chicken wings were for sure frozen! The avocado smoothie was made from rotten avocados! The tater tots smelled of being stored in the freezer forever! The churros were raw on the inside! And they did not add the side of avocado for my banh mi because they said they were out of avocados which assured my hypothesis that the avocado shake was made from rotten ones! I would give it zero star if possible! Do not go to this restaurant ever! I would not even if I were starving to death!
We enjoyed this place so much, we visited twice in one day. Good vegetarian options, especially their Tofu Bao Buns. Their Jalapeno Poppers are great too, as they are tossed in a sweet habanero sauce. Overall, food and service were excellent, and I can't wait to come back again to try more.
The foods are awesome. We ordered two dishes together bulgogi noodles and bulgogi rice. The second dish arrived after 20minutes from the first. The seating arrangements are not properly maintained. Some people were seating alone in a 4 person table.
Totally loved the place. Went there on a Sunday outing. The location, the decor and the each element adds to the vibe of the place and is definitely a nest for hangouts, as the name suggests.
On that same note, I’d say the food was pretty basic. Did not feel like restaurant food at all. But the beauty of the place helped us enjoy the food.
I would recommend the place for good hangout place but not for the food.
Stopped before we went to the airport and the food was awesome. We loved the wings and quesadilla
One of my favorite little places in downtown San Jose is The Nest Asian Bistro. Try out their happy hour. Bao Buns and Banh Mi Flight are a must! #vietnamesefood #koreanfood
Food was decent enough, the ramen bulgogi was alright, but it was pretty clear that the noodles in it were not very high quality. The meat was adequate, and the egg was fine.
I ate on a separate check with a friend whose order was not called, and picked up by another name. We didn't notice the issue until going up to the register. Staff was polite and offered us a refund or a remake.
The other short-falling was the cool breeze coming in through the open front door. And the stuttery Spotify music on the speaker.
In total, a quick bite to eat that should've taken maybe 40 min max ended up being more than an hour.
