When my son finished Residential treatment we helped him look for a sober living home & I'm so thankful we found The Oaks! From my first phone call with Luciana it was clear that she and Jim have dedicated their lives to helping people find lasting recovery.
They have a well structured program & partner with several top Outpatient programs in the area. Luciana & Jim care deeply about everyone in their houses & go over and above to help. They focus on AA and personally guide the residents through the steps to help them rebuild their lives without drugs or alcohol.
When my son needed extra support, they rushed to his aid, treating him & us like family. They were always available to us & we truly believe they saved his life. I highly recommend The Oaks to anyone serious about recovery!

The absolute best place to go to get SOBER AND STAY SOBER! Jim Lu Brett and Darren all are Living Proof that Recovery is possible. They truly care about each and every person that they welcome through their door. They have the best intentions for each and every person and if you just give them and their program a chance I as well as my husband can guarantee you that you will succeed. We are 203 days SOBER TODAY, and wouldn't be where we are today without The Oaks Sober Living. Thank you so much for helping us get our lives back. Justin and Courtney Jarrell.

The Oaks was the the program i needed when i needed it - in my first months of recovery. Jim and Luciana taught me the difference between sobriety and recovery, and they challenged me to learn to do the hard work of focusing on my recovery. Their intent was always good and they believed in everything they said. I have so much love for them and this place! It is truly special, one of a kind.

Very structured and tight knit "family". If you are serious about sobriety this is the place for you

I was fortunate to have found The Oaks in September of 2022. My previous introduction with a different local sober living home was hideous. It was my first experience in sober living and I feel blessed to have found the listing for The Oaks online. I called the number and the owner, Luciana, promptly returned my call. She was so nice and encouraging. Luciana confirmed availability the same day and on my arrival at The Oaks I was in bad mental and physical shape. I was met by friendly people including the owners Jim and Luciana. The house I lived at was clean and the plan well structured. The day after my arrival I got to know the house manager, the house rules and the meeting structure. Some people have slightly different schedules but everyone in our house was focused on doing the AA 12 steps. Meetings start bright and early and the work continues throughout the day. There is free time, but working and completing the steps is the absolute # 1 priority. Having not done this work before I found it to be an absolute life saver and couldn’t have imagined the incredible change in my life. It gave me a new perspective, a new healthy way to deal with the challenges in my life. Jim and Luciana have always been there every step of the way, either in personal discussions, or the weekly house meetings that Jim and Luciana hold to help keep residents on track. I never imagined that the people I’d be meeting in a sober living would become like an extended family. I now have the tools and the people I need to continue to support me in my life long journey of sobriety!

The Oaks has been a saving grace for me. I’ve been at The Oaks for a little over four months, and I do not think I would have been able to stay clean without the structured environment here. The owners really care about helping us clients in our sobriety and have taught me how to make my recovery my main priority. We attend several AA meetings throughout the week, attend IOP/PHP and work the 12-steps closely with our sponsors. I’ve gained a family here and so grateful for my experience. If anyone is serious about getting clean/sober, I highly recommend coming to The Oaks.

I spent exactly one year at the oaks house and it was a truly amazing place I’ve been in and out of various rehabs since I was a teenager and my last rehab program I knew when I was gonna leave I didn’t really have any chance to stay sober. But now I’ve been through the 12 steps now and been able to move out and continue to live a sober life. Jim and Luciana really truly care about all the clients there and treat them with respect they are very loving and kind and treat everyone like family. They have a deep love for the AA program they went through and just want everyone to have an experience like they with the steps. When I first came I was extremely put off by the thought of doing the 12 steps or being a part of AA at all which I know most alcoholics are at first. But to anyone thinking of coming to the oaks I would 100 percent recommend them give the steps a chance I’ve seen Jim a luciana and the steps change a ton of peoples lives!

A really good friend of mine tried to get sober in so many sober houses in Orange County and only The Oaks House Sober Living used the 12 steps of AA and saved my friens's life. So a HUGE thanks to The Oaks team. You guys rock. Thank you, thank you and thank you forever.

No place better than the oaks! My husband was there for treatment and they are the most family oriented place I’ve known! My husband was able to come home several evenings a week to have dinner and spend time with us, we were allowed to come visit him and we were always greeted with a smile and treated like family. The oaks is AA oriented and they provide transportation for therapy, meetings, and whatever else my husband needed. Jim and Luciana are the perfect combination of love and no nonsense needed for a person in recovery. And even after my husband came home they still check on him and make sure he’s doing alright! We truly love Jim and Luciana and their passion for helping others in recovery.

This place is excellent! I personally know a few people that went to sober living here and they loved it. The staff are very helpful and supportive. I highly recommend it!

One of the most welcoming and supportive homes ever! I was at The Oaks only for a short period of time but still gained a family. And if it wasn’t for that family I wouldn’t be here today! They LITERALLY saved my life. (October ‘22- January ‘23) I was admitted to the hospital but during that time my Oaks family still checked on me daily, especially Jim and Luciana (owners) I no longer stay at The Oaks but to this day Luciana will still check on me, and make sure I’m okay and if I need help, advice, or just to talk I just call her. While I was even in the hospital my parents were flying out to California, Jim and Luciana both didn’t hesitate to help them as well. I see the negative comments and know that everyone has their good and bad days, but Jim and Luciana are true blessings and will do anything to make sure you have anything and everything, all the help you need. I couldn’t be more blessed to have crossed paths with them.

For the past 10 years I have struggled with addiction and have been to numerous rehabs and sober livings with no success. When I was introduced to The Oaks Sober Living House through my amazing sponsor, I was nervous that it would become yet another failed attempt of my sobriety. I can today say with my head held high and my body free of all substances that the oaks sober living house has saved my life. They have an incredible structured program and provide amazing living accommodations in clean environment. They are deeply passionate about helping people survive this disease and build a life worth living. This place has saved my life and I am the happiest I have ever been. Thank you so much to Luciana & Jim.

The Oaks saved my life. I was nervous coming from Harmony Place Rehab to The Oaks but Luciana made sure I had everything I needed and introduced me to the girls in my house. Those girls became my family. I wouldn’t be sober today if it wasn’t for the family I made at The Oaks.
I stayed in the women’s house. It was beautiful. The house and surroundings had everything you can think of. There’s a pool, jacuzzi, hiking, hammock, etc.
I would recommend The Oaks to anyone that’s looking to get sober. The people become your family and helps you through any obstacles.
Thanks for helping me stay sober and giving me the tools I needed to succeed once I left. —Stephanie

I just left the Oaks women's house on 12/28 2022. My stay at The Oaks started a little rough but in the end I realized it was the best place for me to live after inpatient treatment. They have a very structured program, IOP off site and AA meetings 6 days a week. My overall experience was a positive one and I plan to stay in touch with the facility. I made good friends and the owners truly have a plan to help you go into recovery.

What The Oaks has meant to me. In the spring of 2021, I interviewed the owner and proprietor of The Oaks Sober Living homes. I found Jim & Luciana very helpful and obviously experienced in running and supervising under these sometimes tumultuous circumstances. My adult daughter had been in recovery half a dozen times but never in a Sober Living home. This was a new experience for both of us. All in all, it was a good experience. The biggest benefit was relief! Relief that she was safe and where people cared. There was sometimes chaos, but I would not have chosen differently. They really care. She was there for over 1 year. I do feel my daughter stayed longer than she should have but that is something I can't be sure of. She truly forged life relationships and got a lot of great recovery here!
