Went to The Observatory for a concert (Sharp Shock, Skinny Lister, The Bronx, and the Bouncing Souls) and was thoroughly impressed by:
- The atmosphere (Beautiful lighting and architecture)
- Layout of the venue (The whole venue is sloped to the stage allowing everyone a good view of the stage. There are even poles to lean on.)
- Security (Security was very thorough and courteous.)
- Bar (Extensive selection of alcohol with fast service)
- Gender Neutral Bathrooms (Inclusion is everything.)

Despite all these positives, I had one main issue with the venue:

- Sound Quality (Whoever was in charge of vocal sound during every single performance failed. You could not understand a word from any of the singers. The music audio was fine, but the lack of care into the vocal audio ruined the immersion.

Definitely worth going back to give it another shot because this one event could've been a fluke.

Well I went for the Vintage Flea Market which way pretty awesome. It was in the back of the observatory however. The only con was parking. There was a parking garage across the street for max $5 I think so whatever. I was assisting someone so I wasn't able to shop for myself, but it was still fun to look around. I will definitely bring my teen daughter next time since there was vinyl as well!

We saw a sold out concert and the event was packed! It was organized and the bar tenders where keeping up with the demand. When your done with concert, visit local brewery.

The venue is pretty small and you can say during the concert it's gets pretty intimate. But I would say those are plusses. I went here for a concert. The acoustics and the lighting we're on point. The drinks were decent. Overall experience was awesome.

I really like it here, it's a beautiful venue with a great sound. Big enough to host popular bands but not large enough to have a "nose bleeds" section. Happy hour at the connected west coast tavern is excellent as well.

Excellent sound, beautiful space, and one of the few venues in San Diego where you can have an all-ages show and still grab a drink at the bar! Good bartenders hope the experience on that side of things, and a central location in North Park makes it very convenient to get to. Go catch a show!

I've been to several shows at the Observatory (North Park) and I wanted to say I am SO impressed with the professionalism of their staff and security guards.
I work security for a bar in PB so I know how how taxing the job can be.
Everytime I've gone to a show the security has been friendly, polite and super helpful. Even when they have a sell out show and a packed house everyone is in good spirits from start to finish.
Oh and the food is awesome. Their hummus appetizer is some of the best hummus I've ever had, great work.
Just wanted to say I appreciate the hospitality and looking forward to my next visit.

This place only cares about the money they make. They will not refund me for the the money they stole from me. We paid money for a show here, and pregamed nothing more than normal. The bouncers kicked us out because we were having a good time, but nothing more than you would expect at a concert
They are here to make money on people who enjoy good music, but they don't care about the music themselves. I would suggest spending you're money elsewhere.

It's a super cool concert venue, parking is across the street (that's nice) I think like $5.00
They do have a restaurant there, so that's cool. Also inside they have a taco cart. It small but bigger than house of blues. Very much enjoy going. And I really like the security they have. I feel safe:)

The Observatory isn't a very large venue but it didnt feel crowded with the large group of people that showed up. Yet again an Excellent Gatsby Party! The multiple acrobatic performances were awesome! Enjoyed seeing all the different beautiful outfits people chose to wear.
Also love the convince of having the parking garage right next door.

Came here for the Jose Caballero for Congress 2020 campaign kickoff. Good sized venue, perfect for a comedy show, or small concert.

Went there for the Common Kings final show off their tour. The staff were super cool and attentive. I'm disabled and this was my 1st time there. Before going thru thre front door they immediately informed me there was handicap seating and if I would like to be there. I said yes and good thing I did. It was pretty much a standing only type of venue. Great save from the staff and I had an amazing time!

First time at this venue. Really cool. Not huge but a good size for a concert. Drinks are generous and not outrageously priced.

Nice location. Parking is a breeze. Entry is smooth and no matter where you are you have a good view. The bar service was great.

Intimate setting, good atmosphere and good sound, with general admission that allows for free roaming. It's easy to get a good view, and up close. Moscow mules are the best drinks here! Easy access, and connected to West Coast Tavern so there are alot of bars within the venue.

I had gone to see Lights perform in February officially marked a year ago, but I still think about it and the amazing experience I had here. I was able to get a VIP ticket and was able to meet Lights! Got to give her a hug and she wrote on the spot some lyrics for me. Absolutely amazing experience.

The venue is great and so is the atmosphere. I really have to tip my hat off to the security that they have at the Observatory. They did an excellent job at keeping everyone save at the concert.

The stereos were just too LOUD. It caused indie rock or pop rock or soft rock to sound like heavy metal rock. And this was so bad.
