The Old Spaghetti Factory reviews
23They have an outdoor dining area they could be utilizing but aren't. It would have added to the dining experience. As it stands now you can not eat there; only pick or delivery. Ss always food is excellent and staff is friendly and professional.
The pasta dishes are to die for. I had the 'chicken penne' family meal. It could feed a whole family easily. Pasta was aldente and the sauce was not too over whelming. It came with bread butter and parmesan cheese. Good eats all around.
I took my wife to the Old Spaghetti Factory for her birthday awhile back, Pre-COVID restrictions. We got here before our dinner reservation, so we each had a drink in the bar. Bartender was jovial and efficient. I had a pint of Sierra Nevada Hazy Little Thing IPA, and my wife sipped a glass of Korbel Champagne. Bartender even got us a dish of their delicious sourdough bread and butter.
I love the fancy wood and upholstered antique furnishings in this place, plus all the elegant chandeliers hanging from above, but most especially the food here. It's always consistently delicious. Our fave here is the Manager's Special, with Spaghetti and Meat Sauce & their Pasta loaded with Mizithra Cheese. Yum! They serve a side salad with choice of Ranch or Oil & Vinegar dressing. The server brings you some of their tasty sourdough bread with creamy regular and garlic butter before your meal. They also offer free Spumoni Ice Cream for dessert.
The food here is so good.
The food is good but not delicious, the portions of serve is big.the waiters and the atmosphere inside is great
Overheard a server denying Covid Virus statistics with other customers. That ruined our dinner.
We went there based on the menu we saw online. When seated and we saw the actual menu, the items we were pkanning to order were not on the menu. Since we weren`t looking to have salads or pasta, we decided to leave and go somewhere else. I hadn`t eaten at an Old Spaghetti Factory in over 20 years. I am in no hurry to go back again.
Mizithra and browned butter was THE BEST it has been in years! Best part? Free for my birthday! I ordered 1/2 Miz 1/2 Mushroom. Mmmmm
Tanner was a great foodserver, despite the hostess' shortcomings. No menu, no flatware, ha ha.yes, we're all stressed during this pandemic. Honestly, they weren't even busy.
Manager wanders around with an IPad, not sure what she's doing, possibly head/table counts for Tier Red protocols. Def not a 'hands on' or 'greeter/thanks for coming type'. She was sure quick to snatch our payment for Tanner.
Still hard to believe this is so close to home, friends and I used to wait sometimes TWO HOURS to get into the Downtown San Diego location, back in the 80's and 90's.
I had a full house that was stacked and emptied by proficient individuals. The group was so extraordinary to work with and would suggest them to everybody moving. The foremost fair group to work with, they went above and past to assist us. Thank you very much!
Food was ok, salty and dry. Service wasn't so great, maybe too many customers to a waiter. Not impressed, plus the tables are way to low.
Now this place was very good and people were nice wait wasn’t long and it made me feel like I was in England in a way lol this place is a great place to take a date and there ice cream is great and the lasanga was just great I really enjoyed it here and just right off the freeway too a great place
It was nice and friendly. My husband and our friends enjoyed their meal. Easy to find a place to park. We was able to call ahead for reservations.
Food was great but our waitress definitely showed that she'd rather be somewhere else other than where she was. Usually had to ask multiple times for a drink refill or anything else we might need.
Such a great place to go! Always has been my favorite restaurant since little. Probably because of the life size train or trolley car inside the place. You can even eat inside it plus their crushed velvet chairs and old Victorian style decor makes it snazzy! You get warm bread with reg and garlic butter and spumoni ice cream with every meal too. The one downtown sd is even better! Like 10x better! Only because they moved locations. They are now multi leveled and have a huge bar area complete with pool tables on the top floor! I could hang out there all night. It's darker inside that location too. The whole feel of it is pretty flippin cool in my opinion. Oh and my favorite dish is the mizithra spaghetti with a Roy Rogers! You gotta try it at least once in your life.
Italian food, yeah, very satisfying. Very filling. Prices were fair. Mood here reminds me of Colorado Springs area.
Served cold seafood dish and the waiter didn't come back for 30 minutes. I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be cold, so i started eating it. When the waiter finally came back, I asked if it was supposed to be cold or hot. He said hot. He got the manager who only offered half off because I ate about half. So they serve an uncooked meal and charge half.
Complained on the corporate website and no response.
Fast service, loved the cheese breads with tomate sauce lots of flavor in them. The pastas didnt have much flavor compared to the cheese bread and sauce
I haven't been to a spaghetti factory in several years
Must have come at wrong time but after being told wait was about 20 minutes waited an hour & still had not been seated
Decided to leave for Phil's BBQ which is located just down street
Food was great!
Placed a to go order was told to pick up
In minutes, was not ready waited additional 30 minutes still no food. Just order soup to go.
Excellent and quick service. Came in with a big group and the waitress did a great job keeping everyone happy. Was happily content with my full belly of garlic brown butter mizithra, pesto salad, spumoni ice cream and of course garlic butter and bread!
You have to go early for parking. The food is delicious and you get dessert after your meal. The staff is friendly but you never know what your gonna get sometimes. That is why I gave 4 stars.
