The Old Spaghetti Factory reviews
16I ordered fresh, steamed broccoli with Mizithra grated cheese on top. It was fantastic! I also added a single serving of Chicken Parmesan to add some protein. Delicious! And I didn't overdo on carbs at a pasta restaurant! Amazing!
Food is good but the service is bad I order to go and they forgot the bread, icecream and drinks.this has been the second time they did this.
Had a lovely dinner here while in San Diego for the holidays. The food is always yummy and the 3-course dinner special is a great value. Our waiter was Dylan, and he took such excellent care of us. He was friendly and attentive, but didn't hover or bother us every time he walked by. He even stopped to visit with us for a few moments at the end of our meal-and wanted to make sure we didn't need anything else before leaving. We really felt like we were dining at a fancy five-star restaurant rather than a neighborhood, family friendly, casual place. We will definitely come back next time we're in town.
We LOVE The Old Spaghetti Factory! We lived downtown and used to walk to the restaurant in the mid 90's! Mizithra (sp? Lol) cheese spaghetti was sooooo good it was addicting! Sadly, they closed it down and we moved across the country shortly after. Imagine our surprise to find out it's open! We found the staff to be very nice and trying hard to do the best they can with all the challenges of food service today! The food is wonderful for the price point! Try it!
Happy to be back home!
I loved the whole experience in eating in such an authentic restaurant? The quality of food is amazing. Great service! Delicious Berries Sangria!
Beautiful decor for Christmas first time at this spaghetti location young professional staff warm and cozy and a good price for our meals.
I waited one hr to be seated and it was empty when I got inside, I ordered chicken parmesan and the chicken wasn't breaded so i asked the waitress and she told me it's lightly breaded but it was obviously grilled.
Somehow I got the baby food. Ordered the Vesuvius and while it came out at a decent time and had a nice flavor, that was about it. The sauce was watery, my two (2) half inch cubes of chicken were just mush, my two (2) half segments of sausage were barely edible, and the supposed diced meatballs were either non-existent or cooked to oblivion so much that they were mere vapors. The entities formerly known as green peppers.yeah, same again. Oh but what about the spice, I hear you cry. Well, less Vesuvius and more like a whimper of a bubble in a peat bog.
My daughter's child portion had way more protein. Guess I should've ordered the kids meal then.
Servers were ok, though I never got my drink (not charged for it either, thankfully).
Not my cup of tea.
Long wait for not that good of food. The ambiance is very nice, the food not so much. The pasta is average and tasted just like store bought sauce.
We had a great spaghetti dinner after a full day at Sea World. The waiter was excellent and very attentive. Will definitely go again!
We beat the crowds Sunday afternoon so service was excellent. Food is good and, hey, it's the Spaghetti Factory, a fun, campy San Diego landmark.
Alfredo fettuccine was bland and not worth the price or effort of going downtown. The salad was small under dressed. The bread and butter before the meal tasted like it was from Kroger. Seats were hard and uncomfortable. Waiter did his best but got things wrong constantly. No broccoli option for the fettuccine either.sad dinner. Oh the spumoni was really smooth and tasty
Went on a Tuesday. Place wasn't super busy but the service sucked. I understand places are understand staffed but the service we had was unexcuseable. The waitress didn't even want to bring the bread out tell she brought the salads and I was like no we want the bread now before the salads. Took a while just to get drinks. We spent a lot of time waiting for items to come and we had to ask for a lot of stuff including refills.
We really enjoyed the architecture of this old building. The food was very good and our waitress was helpful with our meal selections. Her service was also awesome. Prices were very reasonable for this area.
I haven't been here in years and usually at Comic-Con. It's to pack to get in. Great value for money and I'd forgotten about that as well. It was very much a comfort food experience, salad a main course and dessert all at one price. So I was very happy
