The Palm Deli reviews
18 I’ve been going to the palm deli since I was in middle school & just recently I noticed the menu FINALLY has been expanded. The palm deli was always average, one of those places that you could rely on being good every time. But now there is so much more variety of food! Palm deli always had great burritos but it was always the same few. There is so much more flavor to the food now!
Also the customer service was top notch, the new staff even remembered me and my order felt like there was never a switch in ownership. If anything it felt like life had been given back to the palm deli!
Staff was nice, but I found a short black hair in my Philly Cheese sandwich and my 6 pack of Pacifico Beer is weeks shy of expiring, tasted flat. A very expensive and sad experience.
It seems like The Point Market bought the Palm Deli… Came in today bought 2 breakfast burritos and a smoothie. Got food poisoning from eating their breakfast burritos. It seems like they sold me an old Palm Deli burrito because the Point Market doesn’t panini their burritos. So I knew this burrito was old when I got home and took a few bites out of it. Really disappointed of the new ownership. Not worth paying $30 just to get food poisoning.
Formerly Known as "Piggy's Market" the location in Redwood Village is cool. Fun to get a breakfast burrito and stoll around the village.let's say unfortunately the Palm Deli itself seems to be hurting. Dark inside, hot and humid? Also, fairly $$$. I'd suggest a quick stop in for take out or cup of coffee, bear claw? Then hit the road to the beaches and beautiful Vista's nearby.
Living in Aptos for about 6 years now and I have to say I am very disappointed in some locals who have reviewed this place and have given no compassion. A lot of the reviews I have read about the new ownership are very untrue. Let me start off by saying every deli in this area will charge you about 30$ for chips a drink and a sandwich (That's not locally fresh). So finally a place in this area where I can just come and get a decent up of coffee thats not 7$.
Second I use to like to get food at the palm deli but the previous owner was very rude so I stopped supporting. I would hear her constantly saying rude remarks to her staff and she was not kind to the kids at the junior high. The switch to new ownership was just what Aptos needed. I think what happens here in Santa Cruz County is people don't like change unless it benefits them. I had no knowledge this new owner also owns the point market until I saw palm deli is now carrying the barrel burrito!
Not only did the new owner make sure my order was on time he also offered me a free cup of coffee! Because he was apologizing because everyone quit on him!
Moral of the story is we live in a small community and if we start supporting more locals and show some compassion Santa Cruz county will prosper even more.
In Santa Cruz it’s really hard to find local fresh food and this is my go to breakfast place first I got a Paleo bowl the second time I came I got a Mexican breakfast burrito with a smoothie this place is hands-down one of the best food places
If you’re looking for a fast meal no sit down.
Also I find myself going to the beach in Aptos a lot and it just has the easy accessible snacks the customer service is super great it’s ran by a very nice family which I got to know over the weeks by being a regular.
I’m super happy about the new ownership it seems like the menu is upgraded in a very good way!
I love this little deli. I just want to say got a bean & cheese burrito as i always do and they have changed it. Whole beans instead of re-fried beans.also the green salsa is different. Not a fan. Please make the burritos like you used to they were so good! Thank you for being such a great little place for lunch.
Friendly staff! Great tasting fresh food and a variety of cold refreshments! Highly recommended
Great breakfasts. Try the Glaumlette. Lunch menu looks great. Ideal stop for a beach picnic. Fast, friendly service.
Here’s some copy pasta for your copypasta:
If ya paid living wages, people would want to work for ya. If you can’t afford living wages, you can’t afford to be in business. Sorry your beloved invisible hand of capitalism turned on ya. May I suggest giving up on the pockets-pulled-out song and dance and find yourselves some bootstraps? There’s a whole physics problem there too, but you’ll find out soon enough.
Went here 440 pm June 27th the employees shut all lights and locked doors and wouldn't help us. Not great. Managers should be involved. We are local.
We had a good panini and they have a great ‘Booch selection. None of us liked the soup (corn and clam chowder) but no big loss, just tossed it.
Good sandwiches but I had to return my meals in two different occasions (I been there only 4 times) cause they served the wrong sandwich.
Very friendly and helpful staff. They have a large variety foods along with wines coffee, sweets and so much more.
I've always loved the palm deli they have a wide variety of delicious sandwiches cold and warm and a big selection of candies, drinks, chips etc. Definitely reccomend coming to check it out.
Absolutely a spot worth stopping over, the food is fantastic and well prepared, the rates are convenient and it is always well kept there. Keep up the good work.
Nice little deli offering 2 vegetarian panini options. Garlic mushrooms panini is really delicious. They have few more vegetarian sandwich options.
Got the palm burrito, and it was Amazing! Love that it has bell peppers, black beans and finished with a panini press. Would visit again
