The management of this place is destroying it!
One star is the lowest The app allows to give.
Its a nice building, have pool, gym and good location, but everything you need to resolve with the office they do the hard way, the manager is rude, so is the worst person to resolve our problems, wasn't supposed to be like this, but this is how is "The Palms".

EASY to understand why people are MOVING OUT every week, so am I.

Terrible management!
She is rude, sue don't help, she don't give a return about our issues, if you don't ask more than once, call and send a email you will not have your answer or problem fixed!
It's an expensive rent for a terrible management!

Pretty good! James is the maintenance worker that comes by and fixes things in my apartment, and he's always so polite and courteous. He leaves his work area clean when he's done, and he always has a mask on for Covid which I appreciate more than he'll ever know. I really appreciate the fact that since moving in a few months ago, whenever there is some sort of issue when the apartment, James is always willing to make it right. He's pretty awesome. He's made my maintenance orders experiences here pleasant, which on turn makes living here a great experience, and I appreciate how hard he works. That on top of the car situation being fixed, I'm a happy tenant!

TERRIBLE management.
Is a beautiful place, but the management make it be a really bad place to live.
Manager rude, they say to us to send emails but they don't answer or take to long, once I sent 3 emails and they answered the first one a week after I already resolved by myself what I needed and the other two were just forgot. Take to long to fix problems on the apartment as well, they make us pay for lockers, but they don't use that, all the deliveries are placed on the floor and anyone can get it, so we just waste money.
It's really hard to speak with the manager and also as I said, she is RUDE, I actually don't know how she is the manager, but anyway, for sure really soon I'm moving.
Really sad because the place is "nice".

Management is intolerable. We had a situation where we needed to perform a roommate swap due to the COVID-19 situation, and it took over ~3 weeks to complete the swap for a qualified, no-problem applicant.

The replacement roommate provided several documents including application and income verification, but the management turnaround time and awareness of the situation was sluggish and reluctant, even telling us our emails were "causing confusion for their office".

Our phone calls were often ignored, and when picked up, every agent told me they could only confirm information which Anastasia (the general manager) was on board with. Ironically, whenever I asked to talk to Anastasia, she was always "not at the office" or "on vacation".

When it was finally time to complete the swap, one agent told me over the phone that I needed to be "in person" during the pandemic to sign the release paperwork at their office. Only later after I sent an email expressing my health concern did they offer an alternative method of signing.

This experience taught me a critical lesson about being a tenant - no matter how nice the place is, I should remember it is a contract between a manager and client, and should be evaluated on how the manager and client resolve issues. Experiences differ on a case-by-case basis, but for this particular tenancy, the management caused me and my roommates frustration. Please take this into account when looking here.

Decron is a great place to live. We have lived here for a little over 2 years, and I'm very happy. Maintenance is super timely, the whole staff is very welcoming. Would highly recommend.

David was excellent!

I have lived here for 25 years and he is the first person to call me up to make sure I was happy with my maintenance service.

He should be commended!

Be ready to be disturbed by a lot of noise. I was worried about the 405 freeway sounds and came to realize that it’s the least of my problems. This property is cheaply made and while the cosmetic renovations make the apartment somewhat pleasing to look at, the actual structure of this property is very cheaply made. Walls are paper thin, windows directly facing noisy areas of high people traffic are not double paned or reinforced. If you live on a first floor unit, be ready to hear your upstairs neighbors every single move and footsteps. When complaining or trying to get the management to meet you half way on any issue, they will not budget one inch. They are not flexible whatsoever or sympathetic of your issue, they are just following some rule book guidance line by line. The manager Anastasia is extremely rude and will not let you talk, she will cut you off on your every sentence. So I beg you, think hard before you sign a lease to live at The Palms. I am surely regretting it.

If it weren't for the constant construction, repairs, emergency fire exit installations, asbestos, and expensive rent then it would be fine, but cite those 5 reasons for why I won't be living here for much longer and I imagine why you've had a serious uptick in people moving out.

UPDATE: I followed up with the management's offer to make amends while letting them know that I intended to move out after they raised the already expensive $2250 per month rent to $2345. Their attempt to "make it right" amounted to waiving 2 weeks of my 30 day notice and then promptly seizing 100% of my security deposit, charging over $415 for what were described during our move out inspection as "routine" cleaning fees. Between those fees and final utilities they are trying to charge me an additional $96 on top of my full deposit. Their greed knows no bounds and they hold no responsibility for the deplorable conditions they provide their tenants. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS.
