Bar The Peaks reviews
8Great brewery tap room featuring locally produced beers as well as the more common Deschutes ones
Super fun bar that we stopped at for my bachelorette party weekend. Shauna created the best drinks and shots for our group. The food was great too! Overall, a great dive bar!
1) Barmaid was super rude. When I asked about beer selection she grinned pointed to the side and told me to “go look yourself “
2) I was charged at my card even though I paid in cash
Last call is 1: 30 here. Beware!
Very rude NIMBY-esque patrons who proudly claim this is a "locals only bar" despite being transplants themselves.
If you want a front row seat to the detriments of gentrification, then this is your bar. Assuming the staff and patrons will allow you to sit down, that is.
The epitomable (as Tom Waits would say) neighborhood bar in Now Valley which, as I write this, is hours away from the next California statewide stay at home order due to COVID-19. This is the late evening gathering spot for many Noe Valleyans to catch a Giants or 49ers game with friends, or to grab a pint of Anchor Steam to reflect on the day or week. Super friendly staff, always a warm atmosphere (figuratively and literally) whether you're hunched over the pool table (pre-COVID), watching a game on an outdoor screen in their de riguer outdoor parklet, or tapping around on your phone on the back patio. We'll miss them during the COVID absence but will be ready to belly up for a pint when the world (eventually) changes for the better and for the safer. Cheers
My friend Mary and I were out in Noe Valley having dinner and dropped by Twin Peaks Bar on Castro Street and 24th. We had an awful experience at the restaurant next door but Lisa made our evening so entertaining and so much laughs. Lisa is so much fun and such a fantastic bartender.
Friendly dive-ish place. The back smoking area was well ventilated, homey and had one of those corrugated tin roofs. I bet it is pleasant AF when it rains.
