My wife and I stayed at the Peninsula as the first stop of our honeymoon.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The things that stood out were the attentiveness of the staff (especially the concierge that helped make restaurant bookings), the smooth airport pickup, the cleanliness of the room and the free use of their hotel cars (Rolls Royce, BMW). The lunch at the rooftop restaurant was also great.

We thought the breakfast could be improved as it was not the same level as the lunch in the rooftop restaurant. Similarly, the pool area was underwhelming. The gazebos have private TVs and Bluetooth speakers which give it a feeling of a pre game tailgate rather than a five star hotel.

Those are minor details in an otherwise fantastic stay!

I stayed there for four days. When we checked in, a woman who worked at Nikko treated us and talked about Japan and our plans in L. A. After entering our room, they brought champagne, which was a nice touch. We also received pillow covers with our initials, which reminded us of the wonderful memories. When I travel to L. A, I'll definitely come back again. Thank you so much!

Stayed here for 4 nights. The first person to respond to me was a person who worked at the Ritz-Carlton in Nikko, and we had a little chat.
After entering the room, we were given champagne as a welcome drink.
I also received a pillow cover with my initials on it. I was happy because it became a memory of my trip.
Breakfast is American style and the portions are large. Since it's in Beverly Hills, I didn't feel unsafe. In the evening, I went to a nearby restaurant and took a walk before returning home.
I would like to stay here again when I travel to Los Angeles.

This hotel is new and has nice curb appeal, with irrigated lawns and a clean parking lot. There is also a nice sitting area to the west of the building with a BBQ.

Check-in was ok. The front desk person answered all of my questions but did not offer any common check-in information such as breakfast times, wifi password, and pool hours. The lobby is beautiful and spotless! I think there was someone in the lobby/foyer cleaning every time I went through.

The room was spacious, well laid-out, and very clean. The linens and towels were perfect. There was a large HD TV that had a good selection of channels. The room was also very quiet. We did not hear other guests or the elevator, despite the hotel being very busy and our room near the lift.

Breakfast was great. The selection and quality of the food was definetly above-average for a hotel. The man caring for guests at breakfast was professional, friendly, and kept the food trays stocked and coffee fresh. He obviously took pride in his work.

My only real issue with the hotel was the pool area. The pool and waterside itself are very nice. However, there was hair EVERYWHERE. It was gross. In the water, on the floor, up the stairs to the waterside, ect. It was bad the evening we went for a swim, and it had not been cleaned when we went back the next morning.

I have used it several times for lunch and brunch. Unfortunately, I didn't stay at the hotel, so I don't know the rooms.

It feels more like a princess than other five-star hotels in Beverly Hills. The customer base is also younger than others.

Anyway, location is the best. The bellboy also has good service. In such a place, you have to play the tip.

Since the weather is often nice, we will have lunch outside under the parasol. The setting and dishes are lovely. If you are a woman, I think you will be delighted.

Unethical…. I am a pervious guest of the peninsula hotel and the Unethical Management of this hotel used my passport copy and my Personal photo without my consent to be used by the security to kick me out of the hotel if I don’t leave immediately just because one of their valuable clients told them he don’t like to see me around the hotel with no any valid reason at all I mean where is the Clients Privacy where is the professional service any ethics at all? I’ve been almost 10 years visitor of this hotel kicked out by the same person who used to welcome me every visit. She is very bias very unprofessional very racist and rude because she is loyal to the higher tipper. Shame on u

To call itself a 5-star hotel is a good joke. Compared to the Four Seasons or Hotel Bel-Air, Peninsula is small and a relic of the past. Outwardly, there is nothing beautiful about Peninsula, no landscaped gardens, nor opulent hallways and high ceilings; its layout and architecture is no different than an unimpressive roadside motel's. The in-house cuisine is just as bland in selection and presentation. The employees certainly would not make the cut at any other 5-star establishment.

In the heart of Hollywood lies The Peninsula Hotel, a confluence of hospitality and charm, yet grappling with the visible signs of an aging décor. The establishment offers an experience that extends beyond the merely tactile and visual, although one cannot ignore the stark disparity between its lofty price point and the hotel's somewhat antiquated physical aspects.

The antiquated décor immediately greets guests upon entry, with each element showing its age. The furniture, once oozing opulence and luxury, now seem to hang on to the fading grandeur of yesteryears, as evidenced by the attached pictures of worn-out armchairs and chipped side tables. This tarnished aesthetic may very well serve to dissuade the discerning traveler, especially considering the hotel's premium pricing.

Despite this, The Peninsula proves that its true value lies in its people, not its material furnishing. The staff are the lifeblood of this establishment, breathing vibrancy into the somewhat lackluster surroundings. Their warm, accommodating nature creates a comforting atmosphere that stands in striking contrast to the hotel's physical state.

However, the glaring discrepancy between the hotel's price tag and its tired aesthetic cannot be disregarded. For a hotel in such a premium pricing bracket, guests may reasonably expect a more updated, refined ambiance. While the staff's service is undeniably top-notch, it is a challenge to reconcile the elevated cost with the worn-out setting.

In conclusion, The Peninsula Hotel, Hollywood, has much to offer in terms of the quality of service, but it struggles to justify its premium price with its current state of décor. A comprehensive refurbishment would enhance its aesthetic appeal, aligning it more closely with its high-end pricing. Yet, even in its current form, the Peninsula stands as a testament to the true essence of hospitality — the people.

Quiet, luxurious hotel in a traditional style. Secure, and great location. Lovely staff, ready to help 24/7.
Ask for a table on the rooftop and enjoy your breakfast there. Nice pool area, also located on rooftop, great view.

Highly recommend for the outstanding staff, very comfortable rooms, and excellent ambiance.

We stayed here in June and look forward to coming back. The Check-in experience gave us a perfect introduction to how awesome this place is. We lounged by the pool where the service was friendly and they tirelessly worked to help us relax. Had drinks at the bar with attentive bartenders. Breakfast was solid with (you guessed it) excellent service.

The grounds are very welcoming. We loved looking at all the art. The beds are heavenly. The resort felts comfortable and active. People having bridal showers and others having tea brings a quiet exuberance.

Everyone is so dang nice, I could stay here forever.

Favorite luxury hotel HANDS DOWN!
I’ve stayed at the the Peninsula many times over the past five years and it’s consistently a luxurious experience.
The staff (especially a pool service attendant- I’m regrettably blanking on his name! Will update when I remember) are incredibly attentive, memorizing orders and preferences making sure you’re well taken care of.
The rooms are incredibly immaculate and beds are very comfortable.
I visit the hotel for work so am often there all day by the pool or Belvedere garden restaurant, or ordering room service and the food is spectacular! Japanese breakfast, shrimp with arugula salad and dim sum are at the top of my list.
