The Peppery, Sonora CA

One of the few restaurants in the area. It was packed the day we went. Food was delicious, service was friendly, and prices on par for the food. Don't pass on this place.

I had fish and chips for lunch. Fish was okay. Fries aka chips were overcooked beyond edibility. Considering the price it was not worth it. Mcdonalds makes better fries.

Super nice super good food. Maybe a little racially ignorant? Or maybe it isn't common for black people to go out with white people out here. Was there with friends. Waitress asks how many seats friend says 4, i'm the 4th and only other person there. Not sure if it was a different waitress but she asks if i've been helped. Other than that everything was great.

Are service was great 5, food was pretty good 4, but the time it took to get are food was a little long. It was dinner rush and we waited around 45 to an hour and all we ordered was a burger and grilled cheese. All in all not bad, just not great.

Used to be great, but over the last few years it's gone downhill. The rice I had was spoiled, the waitress brought out the wrong type of wine, and apparently they don't help you celebrate birthdays there anymore. Not worth it.

The food is always consistent and yummy! The noise is a little much. But it's a sports bar/ restarant. We keep coming back so it must not be to bad

Waitress was as awesome as the food was. Even came out to the vehicle to ask if we wanted the side of ranch my buddy asked for with the leftovers.in the rain even. The pastrami sandwich with double meat is the bomb and won't disappoint. Was a great experience. Wish we had found it sooner.

So good to have them open again the wife and I went for lunch today to get our fix of fish tacos and fish and chips, calamari of course SOOO GOOD

One of the best local restaurants in town. Kind staff and amazing food. The wait can be long because everyone wants to eat here! So call ahead or prepare to wait, but you won't be let down!

We passed through on our way down from Mi Wuk Village for a cabin trip.

We got the TBA sandwich, Clam Chowder, and Peppery Soup. And for appetizers we followed the advice of our server, Sydney, and got the Fried Asparagus plus a half order of Calamari.

This is COVID, so all the servers wore face shields. Customers were hit and miss about donning theirs when walking through the restaurant. (Mostly miss, but I don’t mind, actually.) The tables were plenty spread out.

The food was great! Excellent asparagus! Calamari was as good as I’ve had anywhere. TBA (turkey bacon avocado) was big enough to share and came with an insane amount of seasoned fries. Like one or two potato’s worth.

The clam chowder is as as good as that you would find in a fancier place. Plenty of clams, not too much ham or potatoes. Delicious. And the Peppery Soup was also good. It tasted kind of like a tomato soup, but with roasted peppers and light on the tomato. Good, but not as good as the chowder.

Finally, Sydney, our server rocked. She remembered our complicated order perfectly, checked on us often, and got us our food promptly.

We live over 50 miles from there, & do the drive just to eat there once in awhile! The food is excellent, & the portions are so generous my husband, & his big guy friends can usually not finish their meals. Service is top-notch, atmosphere is relaxed, it's a great place, a must stop if you're in the area.

Love going to Peppery in Sonora. The food is delicious and service is good also. I highly recommend this place. You will not be disappointed

The peppery was pretty good today. I tried the fish and chips and my husband tried a burger of some sort I'm sorry I don't remember what he had but I do know it was a burger cuz he always said you can never go wrong with a hamburger.fish was great the batter was not It said it was a beer batter but the batter just fell off the fish. Besides that the peppery is usually a really good place to go if you're looking for good food and a drink at the bar. If it wasn't for covid it would be a great place to have a little party

Their habanero ribeye is delicious. My wife & i drive from an hour away, we love their deep fried asparagus & their garlic mashed potatoes. We wish they still served the shredded vegetables but the last few times we've been there we haven't seen them

Wonderful service. Friendly servers. They do not harass you or treat you differently if you aren't mask wearers and because of this, it will remain one of our top places to eat out at. Thank you peppery!

Foods good to bad you can’t enjoy it. Do to all the screaming drunk people that are there every single time. They staff does nothing to make it more bearable for the other customs.
