2This is a very special place run by exceptional people. I have visited dozens of NPS’s in the area and the love and compassion at Phillips surpasses all others; it is palpable when you interact with staff. If your child needs healing and socio-emotional support, this is the place. Curriculum is individualized and adapted to needs. Middle school staff are incredible and always available to talk. If you believe the basis for wellbeing is emotional health, and that academic health will also spring from there- this is the place. If you prioritize academics first and emotional health is less of a priority for you (maybe bc your kid doesn’t need that), there are many other schools taking that approach. To appreciate Phillips, I think you need to align with this philosophy. I do, and I see the way it is changing kids’ lives. -mom of Phillips kid
