I really can't recommend this place enough. I've been going here consistently for about a year and I have to say I'm so impressed with every visit. The owners/stylists are so consistent and deliver every time, so rest assured you will leave looking and feeling amazing. Over the span of a year, my hair health has improved so much and I have to attribute it to the great care Christian puts into styling and her products. She offers steams, deep conditioning treatments, and keeps you on a solid regimen for trims to really promote hair growth and preserve your curl pattern/texture. She's respectful of your time and I can say I know what to expect whenever I visit her salon. I definitely recommend going here for your hair care needs especially if you're natural but like to straighten your hair and want to keep it healthy.

Brought my daughter here to get her hair naturally styled and it was AMAZING. The women here know black hair! They understand how much heat damages hair and you never smell that horrible scorched hair scent that stinks up so many salons. If you know, you know. This is the spot!

My protective style of choice is a weave, which can be difficult to maintain but I can count on Lauren to provide the best service from start to finish.

My favorite aspect of the salon is the professionalism. Unlike most salons, there is never a long wait at the Pitre Nest and they don’t double book which allows for a more personalized experience.

Lauren and Christian are simply amazing. They have intense knowledge on all hair types and are up to date with styling techniques and methods. I’ve gotten everything done from quick ponytails to clip and sew-in extensions and now as of recent, a short trendy hair cut. They provide natural hair care remedies to keep you and your hair in tip top health. I’ve never left the salon feeling unsatisfied with the outcome of my hair or the customer service provided. There is never a wait bc they only have two chairs and service one client per stylist from start to finish. They have a very intimate and relaxing setting and their studio is always clean (doesn’t even smell like a hair salon! I.e hair dye, chemicals, or burnt hair) Highly recommended - forever a loyal client!

Had an appointment today at 12 but it was rescheduled for 1: 30 but I made it very clear I have work at 3: 30 which is why I made it at 12. She said no problem. Why did I wait an HOUR? And she had the worst attitude “it will literally take me an hour but if you don’t want to wait then that’s on you”. I had to keep composure. So unprofessional. So rude. Never apologized. And I wasted my time and now I have to search to do my hair before work. Save your money. There are more PROFESSIONAL BLACK OWNED businesses you can support. Terrible customer service

Lauren & Christian are both extremely talented and professional Stylist dedicated to not only helping you look and feel good but also maintaining and restoring healthy hair. I’ve had the privilege of being Lauren’s client for almost two years and can honestly say my hair has never looked or felt better! Christian is equally welcoming and talented. I would feel completely comfortable if I needed to have my hair styled by Christian if Lauren weren’t available. Location and parking is super convenient and the atmosphere is very chill.
These ladies have earned a client for life!

I was amazed with how knowledgeable they were on hair care and hair treatment.

My hair turned out amazing after Lauren gave me the works: organic shot treatment silk press and trim. It looks so healthy and shiny (see pictures) and she did not have to use excessive products on my hair to achieve this look!

I will definitely come back to the salon again! I already booked several appointments in advance. I have been to numerous hair stylists around the San Fernando valley over the years but Lauren is, by far the friendliest and gets me out of the salon on time!

I have been serviced by the Pitre Girls for yearssss! These ladies specialize in detailed natural hair care. I’ve literally gotten almost everything they have to offer, from steam treatments, simple silk presses, sewn in weaves, itips, color, cuts, deep conditions, weave hair removal and even hair products. If you’re looking for real hair knowledge plus a bomb hair do, this is your spot! I thoroughly enjoy leaving the chair with a great style and knowledge on how to keep it up, wrap it and when to return. I’ve been lucky enough to be serviced by Lauren & Christian. These ladies do a wonderful job of keeping the salon in tip top shape, from the decor, to the cleanliness. They offer drinks and great conversation. The Pitre Neat was a breath of fresh air! The ladies were professional, efficient, well educated about hair and took great pride doing my hair. I loved the energy and smell of the salon. No burnt hair scent. Lol. Another thing I most appreciated was they don’t use a lot of products on the hair. Also, they were very open about how to care for your hair at home.
