The Pottery Studio San Francisco

Have been a member of 3 pottery studios in SF and others outside the area. This is a wonderful large space for members and also a great place to take classes. The warehouse has good airflow even on hot Mission days and the light is so nice. The studio fires Cone 10 reduction only, which is the same as Sharon Art (owned by SF, run by Rec & Park), and relatively unusual among the city studios.

Clays are sold by the bag, a wide range of dip ready commercial glazes are available, and you pay by lb for firing. It’s BYO tools, sponges and buckets are available as well as plenty of wheels.

You rent a shelf where you keep all of your equipment and work in progress until bisque firing. Classes are 4 weeks and there are also workshops from time to time.

This is a really lovely, calming studio. I really enjoyed the Intro to Wheelthrowing class. Super helpful and lovely teachers!
