Such a beautiful hotel and location! This hotel sits in one of the best locations possible. Right at the ridge of a gorgeous beach, the view day or night is amazing but sunset is definitely unbeatable! This is one of my favorite hotels in southern California!

I stopped in to have a look, I pickup from hundred's of resorts in Orange County for our sightseeing tours from Orange County. This has to be one one the most beautiful Resorts on our Coast

The nicest hotel I think on the west coast. Beautiful location and its own beach, it really does not get classier. Everyone is like a friend who works there.

I'll tell you something that travel agents don't want u to know. When reserving resorts use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ. ᴄᴏᴍ They easily have the best deals on hotels! Way better than using expedia, tripadvisor, hotwire. No doubt about that!

Best luxury hotel in socal bar none. Staff are so friendly from groundskeepers to front desk. Wonderful beach. Marketplace food is good and room service breakfast portions are great. Things do get pricey but worth paying.

Staying at the Ritz Carlton one something we always wanted to do but didn’t have the opportunity.

We finally stayed at the Ritz here in Laguna Beach a few days after staying at the Montage.

This review is comparing our experience at the Ritz only after staying and experiencing the Montage.

My 4 star review is based on my experiences of staying at the Montage. If I hadn’t, it would probably be a 5 star review.

Feel free to check my Montage Review if you want an in depth review of that resort.

Driving up to the Ritz we experienced a backlog of cars arriving.

The resort was beautiful and everyone was very friendly. But it was busy.

We don’t mind being around people at all, but comparing with the Montage this place was packed.

Once we checked in, we made our way to the room.

The hallways were tighter and smaller compared to the Montage.

Our room had a beautiful view of an angle of the ocean and the Cliffs Along with all the houses on the coast.

When the night sat, the sunset had colors of purple and orange and red and yellow it was one of the most beautiful sunsets we had experienced.

The sunset here was definitely better than at the Montage.

The room itself was nice, but You could tell it was an older resort that had tried to modernize it the best that it could.

The bathroom was very nice as well, but no tub.

180blu had amazing views if you’re looking for small bites to eat and a drink.

Raya, IMO, didn’t live up to its expectations at first…

I generally don’t have a hard time finding something to eat on the menu but I finally decided to eat the coconut shrimp which was VERY good.

Overall we were happy staying here. Not sure tbh if we’ll stay again.

But we’d definitely love to check out the other Ritz properties if it’s newer.

Absolutely a most amazing place to visit. The staff from the Valet to the time you are leaving are outstanding. I will always go back to this Incredible place.

The view is great, anything else is just at $200 level. Look at the how dirty the towel is after I wiped the chair at the balcony. Looks like the chair was never cleaned.

Lovely hotel with a very relaxing pool. Really enjoyed the personal fire pit on the room patio.

This is Heaven’s doorstep.my husband attended a conference (poor thing) so during the day I enjoyed coffee overlooking the ocean, yoga in the pavilion overlooking the coastline, an surf board art exhibit in the public areas, lying poolside in the garden pool, a facial and a massage — the spa had a cathedral “hush” about it—cocktails in the outdoor lounge, breakfast in the restaurant beside the huge windows.and a special cookie “diorama” of the beach complete with a surfboard cookie! I hated to leave for the conference dinners! Everyone was wonderful and so accommodating—it really was the perfect stay.

Truly beautiful hotel and location. The view just can't be beat. Steep walk to/from the beach but the hotel has a complementary beach shuttle that you call for pickup. We stayed two nights with our small dog and found the hotel staff *mostly* pet friendly. When asked, the concierge told us that our dog was not welcome in any restaurant and that they did not have a pet relief area anywhere on the grounds. However, when we asked one of the restaurants directly if we could bring our dog, we were told of course, they're pet friendly! They gave our dog a small toy and made a reservation for us. I think it helped that they could observe our dog and see that she was small and well behaved. We found a gravel walkway behind the pool for an unofficial pet relief area. My only request would be that a hotel that is pet friendly needs to have a designated pet area. Room service for breakfast was lovely and the valet guys were great. Overall a wonderful experience with some room for improvement.

Absolutely stunning location at one of the most beautiful beaches in Southern California. The ocean views are amazing. The grounds, golf course and cafe/lounges are all world class and gorgeous. The staff are very attentive and friendly.

A truly special hotel with the most stunning panoramic ocean vistas in the world—where the sparkling Pacific meets the the lush, rolling hills and mansion-lined cliffs of the Laguna coast! Our room was right on the lawn overlooking the ocean and had a private patio with outdoor fireplace (with cute s’mores kit!) The gym has breathtaking floor-to-ceiling windows over the ocean. It’s wonderful.

Make sure to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ. ᴄᴏᴍ when booking any room. This web site will compare thousands of hotel sites and typically will have rates much cheaper than others! You're welcome:)! This hotel is the best rated in this area. I have been staying here for years. If you decide to stay here you definitely won't be let down.

We were here for a wedding, the food was surprisingly good! They served hors d'oeuvres during the cocktail hour and everything was delicious. Mini tacos were cute and tasty, but the sashimi was the star of the show! The Outdoor balcony area where the cocktail hour was held was breathtaking. The only thing I didn’t like was the mango mousse wedding cake provided by the hotel, too dry and the icing was too sugary sweet. Gave it less than 5 stars only because of the cake ans also because it’s way overpriced.

Very nice place, it's on high end side with great view of the ocean. They also have restaurants with delicious food. The rooms are on the small side but it's decorated nicely. I highly recommend to visit.

Booked a king bed room but at check in Melisa gave us a double beds room because that's what she said was available. After multiple calls to front desk she some how found a room with king bed and we moved. Very unprofessional and don't expect to get the room you reserved. First impression is a one star.

Such a beautiful property but honestly Judy really topped it off. She works at the pool bar and was absolutely the sweetest. We talked to her for a hour and she was such a breathe of fresh air. Down to earth and really turned my day around. Thank you Judy! Hope to see you again.
