The Rose Wine Bar reviews
19Amazing food, delicious wine, super knowledgeable team. Such a wonderful place to sit and chat for hours (which is exactly what we did!).
Cutest spot for dinner and drinks. Great service and always good playlists vining in the background. Take a look at the menu before you go because in my opinion, it’s a bit random.
Delicious wine, and their tuna tartare toast was exquisite. I coulda easily eaten 10 of them but my wife wants me to look like Cristiano Ronaldo. Maybe I’ll leave her for the toast…
Consistently delicious food with a great variety of natural wines. Check out their wine club!
Varied about limited menu of fine food. Good portions. Good service. What you doing Good selection of wines and drinks.
Chairs are the least desirable aspect.
I had such a cool experience at this local wine bar, shared a Macabelo from Spain after hearing it's description and I loved it! The wine was perfect, crisp, dry, yet fruity! Bonus pairing, San Diego sunset. Definitely worth the stop in!
We had a very nice visit at the Rose Wine Bar for Brunch. The have great outdoor seating and a very hip waitstaff! We had the Quiche of the Day with roasted tomatoes and cheeses; it was a substantial wedge of Quiche! The salad that came with this entree was really good with a delicious dressing, I think a red wine vinaigrette!
The sourdough French Toast was very good, as was the biscuit and gravy and eggs. The side of bacon was delicious. My most fave thing however, was the mixed berry muffin; it was sooo good, ~moist and so flavorful! They have great drinks/wine service, as well! (Sorry no pics; we were out with guests!)
We love South Park eateries, because generally the wait is not as long as in neighboring boroughs, and this one is wonderful!
Phenomenal service and great location/ambiance. The lunch menu has been pared down, so it's difficult to find good vegetarian options. Empanadas look good but the only non-meat choice is mostly cheese. But my meat eating companion loved her selections
The staff is the vibe. Beautiful wine and cocktails, but watching the squad at The Rose were having fun together was truly special. See y'all again soon
I'm here at least once a week for the Tuna and a glass of natural wine. Absolutely my favorite spot in South Park with kind service, excellent ambiance, and delectable food.
Please never stop making the tuna!
My all time favorite spot in South Park. Food is exceptional and their natural wine selection is the best there is in San Diego. You must join the wine club! Favorite dishes include the empanadas, chicken sandwich, and the salad pie. Yum!
Whoever's in the kitchen, knows how to cook. The combination and preparation are spot on. Tonight I marveled at the broccolini, charred and served with micro greens, toasted nuts, perfectly seasoned and dressed with? , I wish I knew. But since I don't I will just have to go back for more. Merci!
This is a great place to enjoy a bottle of a nice natural wine. The food is also pretty good, we tried the empanadas, the cheese board and the ruffles with ranch and everything was delicious. The waitresses were very kind:)
Great food, good wine list, cocktails where good. I had the Rose burger medium rare and it was cooked to perfection and the Rose Potatoes are delicious. We also had the ribeye and the empanadas where eyummy but they are small. The menu rotates so check their site before heading out to see what they have. Wine selections is really good there too.
Absolute favorite dinner spot in San Diego. Their menu changes seasonally, but every new addition is fantastic. Never not wanting to go to The Rose. ️
I love this place! I’ve been multiple times, and plan to return. The ambiance is great, the staff are helpful & kind, the food is great & cocktails are amazing.
One of the best brunch spots in San Diego hands down. A South Park treasure. They have a short menu but have clearly perfected each dish. If you want a savory brunch, I love the corn beef hash (formerly the carnitas hash) that is made w homemade cornbeef, delicious hollandaise, and roasted potatoes. If you're looking for something sweet, the coconut bread pudding is to die for and super filling despite looking like a small portion when it comes out. If you're feeling a little adventurous, definitely get the curryquiles - as the name implies is chilaquiles in a thai coconut curry sauce. All their cocktails and coffee have been great each time I go too.
Great vibes great wine and amazing food! Would definitely go again! Also the waitress was so helpful and gave great recommendations.
