Staff was very helpful for early check-in and late departure.
Roof top pool was beautiful place to relax and dine.

Super hip hotel. Great food at Etta and view above by the pool. Good young crowd and ambience. Would stay there anytime.

The rooftop pool is so cute - very Cali vibes. Get The Canopy Club sandwich; literally phenomenal.

Lovely hotel for a longer stay! The staff were friendly and informative. The lobby is great for lounging and has a cozy fireplace, bar, and pool table. Rooms were great, but we did hear a lot of footsteps from upstairs. Not much other noise though. The water pressure is amazing, great after a long day out! Culver City is a safe and walkable area, with several restaurants and grocery stores within 15 min walk/5 min drive. Metro E line is conveniently a few min away from the hotel, and Uber/Lyft serve this area well. It’s a great middle area to stay if you’re visiting LA since you can get to most places without being on the road for a long time.

We stayed here for a few days and just loved how convenient it is to get around Culver City. All the staff is so friendly, got great customer service from everyone, you can tell they all really care about the hotel and their guest. Zelene in valet was super helpful and Rebecca at the front desk was so welcoming.you would have thought we we were VIPs. We had a really nice room with a view and the beds were so comfortable. I had to work 1 day and they had super fast Wifi and it was great to work in the lobby for a little while too.so festive.

This hotel has a great vibe- nice and clean.the Bathtub suites are some of the very best i have seen, and even though you are overlooking a busyish corner there ia zero street noise. A+, and excellent service at the front desk from Delano and his colleagues!

This is an impressive hotel in Culver City. Location is great - easily walkable to downtown Culver City with several other clusters of shops/restaurants even closer.

The lobby is beautiful and is a space you want to spend time in. As a Hyatt Globalist, I was upgraded to a much larger room and had a ton of space. The bathroom itself was the size of some hotel rooms I’ve been in. The shower was huge with great water pressure. Rooms are stylish just like the rest of the hotel. Internet was fast and free. Breakfast at Canopy Club was excellent. It’s a bit odd that the restaurant that serves breakfast is basically part of the pool on the roof, but it seems to work. Service throughout the hotel was excellent.

Overall, a fantastic hotel. Highly recommend.

Really nice hotel. Rooms are modern and super clean. Probably the most comfortable hotel bed that I’ve had, including the pillows. And the entire staff was very friendly. Looking forward to coming back.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel, which is dog-friendly, and the room was both stunning and spotlessly clean. The interior design was modern and new, featuring wood flooring and a beautiful lighting system, while the bathroom had elegant porcelain tiles. My group was even upgraded to a spacious suite that we absolutely loved!

We also had the opportunity to dine at two of the hotel's restaurants. Etta, an Italian restaurant, was particularly impressive, and I would highly recommend trying the shrimp appetizer and mushroom pizza. The other restaurant, located on the rooftop beside a stunning pool, boasted a lovely atmosphere and views. They even served brunch on weekends!

Overall, the service at the hotel was exceptional, and the valet parking was prompt and efficient.

Great hotel at a great location. The room is lovely and comfortable. There is a rooftop bar with a pool, an on-site restaurant, and a fitness room. Both the roof-top bar and on-site restaurant offer great food and drinks. The music of the roof-top bar could be too loud at times and making conversation difficult. There is a $30+ destination charge that was not included at the time of booking the room but the charge covers free Uber rides within 2 miles of the hotel and one round trip fare for the light rail.

With work and family across China and the US, I travel very often-even during the ongoing pandemic. In short, I've experienced a considerable share of hotels and hospitality types. I do not have time to write a review of all these trips, but I simply must pause my affairs to praise The Shay in Culver City and its current staff (namely, Bernice and Delano). Yesterday Delano performed the extraordinary: after I accidentally left my passport in the lobby, he found me at a nearby Co-Op Market 6 minutes away from the Shay to return my item. His ability to track where I had gone is almost supernatural ha ha I was shocked, pleased, and grateful.

The following day, after check-in, Delano acknowledged the incident and gifted my room. Having visited the Shay twice before, I had been accustomed to its cream-marble table tops, golden wood walls; and sleek washroom design, with flattering lightning, but it's only today that I felt the full warmth of the Shay's hospitable staff. Sure, anyone may react in my way when gifted, yet before this and before even knowing my situation, another staff member (Bernice) supported my financial transaction with the patience of deity. Without anxiety or feeling unsettled, she waited while I pulled out a laptop, logged into my account, and verified a matter.

I had loved the Shay twice before, but now I have truly fallen for it. This is, of course, my unique experience and there is little guarantee you will experience the same, but I do believe your chances of feeling welcomed, considered, and cared for are much higher here than anywhere else in this area (and even globally imo). And of course, the furnishings are top-notch as well.

The stay was awesome. The Saturday night atmosphere seemed a little portentous at 1st but was actually really nice. The room was very clean with a beautiful view & an amazing shower & tub. I would definitely recommend The Shay.

Great hotel, and amazing staff. Especially the Valet team. Valet can be stressful and high pace; that didn’t stop their valet Team from being providing warm and helpful service and care to us. Amazing first impression to an amazing hotel. We were hosting family from Australia, and we set them up at The Shay hoping they would enjoy themselves. We were not disappointed, and they loved their time there. Clean, modern, comfortable, and cool hotel. Open air roof top pool and dining is amazing. Food is solid, and the rooms are killer. Walking distance from Culver’s main hub. Plenty of parking. Great overall vibe. We took three rooms - all were great, and each had its own charm. The sound and insulation in the rooms was well thought out and designed. The bathrooms are expansive and beautiful. Larger walk in showers. Hope to be back soon!

New hotel in Culver City. Nice size lobby with fireplace. Small game-room conference room, bar, and Italian restaurant on the main floor.
Once you check in. All communication can be via cell phone. Nice size room with a balcony.
I didn’t need the balcony. Spent all lot of time at the canopy club. Beautiful views of Baldwin hills and Culver City. The game room is small but there’s complimentary popcorn.

5/5. Amazing experience staying at The Shay.

One of the highlights of my stay was the incredible dining options available at The Shay. Etta and Canopy Club were both fantastic, offering a diverse range of delicious dishes and drinks. Whether I was in the mood for a quick bite or a full meal, I was never disappointed. Plus, as a pet owner, it was wonderful that The Shay is pet-friendly. There are small parks in walkable distance that I can walk my dog.

The valet parking service at The Shay was also exceptional. The staff were friendly and much more efficient (compared to other hotels), the car was usually be available in 5 minutes. It made my stay even more relaxing and stress-free.

Another great aspect of The Shay was its location. It was conveniently located next to a light-rail station, which made it easy to explore the city. Plus, the nearby Platform shopping mall was within walking distance, offering a range of high-end shops and restaurants.

Overall, I highly recommend The Shay for anyone looking for a fantastic hotel experience in Los Angeles. With its clean and stylish rooms, amazing dining options, pet-friendly policies, exceptional valet parking service, and great location, The Shay truly has it all.

Unprofessional staff after they cancelled my reservation last minute. Would of been nice to have a heads up prior to arrival before getting cancelled after a long day of business travel. Would not recommend.
