I came to eat with my girlfriend, I ate a hamburger, my girlfriend ate a chicken sandwich, I ate the hamburger in the evening I was poisoned and I started vomiting in the hotel where I stayed, I vomited all the food I ate, but it didn't help at all, finally I went to the hospital very quickly, they told me that there was a parasite in my stomach and they had surgery, I have 3 cuts in my stomach and I'm still in pain, definitely not come here, my first time to Los Angeles and I really regret it, definitely pay very much attention to what you eat and if possible, don't go to this cafe

The location is nice, on the edge of the Venice boardwalk. However nothing exceptional concerning the kitchen as well as the service.

I've always really loved this place, but it was disappointing this time. It seems like they may have new owners, because the menu was totally different. There used to be such fun dishes to pick from. Now it was just kind of bland choices, and I had a hard time finding anything that I wanted. The side salad was great and a good size, but the Philly cheese steak sandwich had hardly any cheese or steak in it. I won't be going back.

Unfortunately because of the horrible food I just can’t. The staff was very polite but that’s the only positive thing.

I ordered a blue Hawaiian drink… which was the only thing that was good

I initially ordered the “Fish and chips” (one single piece of fish on steak fries) which came out extremely greasy and not cooked all the way. Even the fries weren’t cooked all the way. With the amount they charge I wouldn’t have expected something frozen (other than the tasteless half cooked) fries.

I then ordered the New York strip steak (with an additional fee of course) cooked medium rare. That includes Spanish rice and asparagus. The steak was overcooked and had no flavor. Not sure they included anything in the rice except some color (zero flavor as well). I tried adding salt/pepper/steak sauce and that didn’t help.

Very disappointing. I literally had one bite of rice, one asparagus and 3 bites of steak. I gave all of the leftovers away on my way back to my van.

If you’re looking for anything other than drinks and maybe appetizers I would skip this place

Hadn't visited in 23 years. Food was just as good this time as it was then, beach cafe atmosphere, sometimes live music. Sometimes live drama. Attached is the best book store in Venice

First time stopping by - nice to people watch - shared the nachos which could have been a little more flavored - quite bland - service not that attentive - did not get my ice tea refilled - had to go find it

In front of the beach. Large restaurant, with clean bathrooms and great service. The beer wasn't that cold, but it was worth the view.

This is another gem I take visitors to all the time, mostly for a late breakfast. I come here for 20+ years. I gotta be honest: If you are looking for the best.whatever food.in town, don't bother to go. This place is about atmosphere and having a good time. The food is good, and we had an amazing time with our waiter Shilly yesterday - and left well fed and with $100 for the four of us fairly priced - given the location I would have expected more.

Wow - five stars for OK food? Absolutely. In my very own rating scheme, it is mandatory for five stars that I would be willing to do a 30+ min detour just to go to this particular place. And I did. Many times. And will do it again.

We've been to the Ivy's in Beverly Hills the night before. It would be totally unfair to compare on a mere culinary basis. Go here - prepared to have a good time - and you will.

I wish I had checked the reviews before coming here. I saw that there was a long line and it was busy. That made me believe.it was a good place. The food was utterly disgusting. I can honestly say, it was the worst experience in my life. I have eaten in many places.by far this is the worst food, I have ever tried. Save your money and your stomach.

Staff uses Profanity, and is rude. They seem to be more focused on their phones than their jobs. They are for some reason don’t respond when you say hello and thank you. I felt as if I was just a number and if I got out of line bad things would happen. Like I said in the beginning they were used profanity and speaking about things I care not to go in detail about.

Poor management for such a great location.

Venice is a much more grimy place than I imagined. The food was good here and the staff was decent. By far the dirtiest bathrooms on the beach next to the public house.

The worst experience. So bad the dishes was horrible. If you like the good food please run and don’t go! HORRIBLE

Went only for breakfast. Twice! 2 eggs ang way with choice of protein that comes with toast and creamed butter. Amazing poached eggs. Great quality, reasonably priced for CA!

It can get crowded because it's a cool place, but when it's not crowded late on a week night it can be the right place to be. Awesome staff too. They have hosted the Venice Surf A thon after party a few times.

The waiters are unbelievably bad. When you call, you are sure they are listening, but they pass without looking. They are missing your order. Although it is not very crowded, the service is very late (35 minutes). Pay attention to the account, you can write what you do not eat. I didn't want fries. But 9.5 usd was added. I objected. OK, said the waiter. But again he brought the account without correction. Of course I didn't pay. The fish was overcooked. That's why the fish was pretty tough. The fries were good. That's why I gave it 3 stars. I added the glass they brought the Strawbery margharita to the pictures. It is a very interesting cocktail glass.:) (pink glass in the picture) Its taste was okay. Fish and chips (pictured) 24 usd. Interesting glass cocktail 10 usd.
Definitely don't go. Tourist come-and-go place, which is a complete disappointment.

Loved it all! Had a line but it went fast. Great service and the team works so well together!
