The Spot La Jolla reviews
13Great ambiance, friendly servers, and convenient location - short walk to the beach. Food and drinks wise, it’s just a typical bar with American food, so don’t expect much out of those.
Was sat on the patio and for the love of god I wish I could could remember my waitresses name. Mildly older white woman with no personality. Never once gave any type of smile of inclination that she actually wanted to be taking our order. She was dry, continuously rolled her eyes and didn’t have any answers to my questions about the menu. I ended up switching servers half way through bc her energy was unbearable. Our second waitress was nice. The food was a bit underwhelming. Huge steroid filled chicken wings have never been my thing, and the pasta was bland. The views and scenery make up for what was lost during the dining experience, but I’d highly suggest hiring more upbeat staff.
Excellent food variety of salads, sandwiches burgers sea food and bar type appetizers, various televisions And about a block from lojolla coast! The albacore tuna avocado sandwich is delicious and comes with fries and onion rings if you want. Highly recommended!
Burger has no flavor. I ordered a baked potato and got a microwaved potato. It was hard, nowhere near as warm as it should have been. The bacon was nasty and you can taste it was microwaved. The vegetables on top looked like they were left out in the open for hours after being chopped. I didn’t eat it. Finished the burger. Customer Service was good.
Great spot for some food and margaritas on a nice day out in LJ. Lots of TV's if you're a sports fan, tons of outdoor seating to. The "Perfect Margarita" was pretty damn good.
Food was good but TERRIBLE staff. The waitress and host had a very bad attitude, and we waited a long time to be seated even though half the place was empty. Also, after waiting a long time for our food… the orders came out wrong. They were VERY inattentive, I do not recommend coming here.
Good dinner. Friendly staff. No wait on a Tuesday evening during the summer which was nice. Nice beer selection, I got the cherry cider they had on tap. The appetizer we got was very different and delicious (potato skins with chorizo). My wife and I each got a pasta. Seemed to be of reasonable portion. Outside had a nice view.
I had the jumbalaya pasta and my fiancee had the a seafood pasta. We shared fried Calamari as appetizer. Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! The portions were huge. We couldn't finish. We took home leftovers enough for another meal. We'll be back again soon
The fried pickles were very good. The service was good. The bathrooms were disgusting. It was extremely loud. Parking can be difficult.
It was not a good choice for lunch.terrible service, bad food.
I'll never visit again.
I don't want recommended this place.
Don't waste your time and money on this place.
Had the tuna sandwich with fries and got to sit on the outdoor patio where you can see the ocean… I mean does it get any better?
Great food. Have tried a few things here; but the shrimp pesto pizza is hands down one the best thing I've had while in San Diego.
Had a very enjoyable lunch here - the cobb salad and the BLT. Both were great. Our server Whitney was awesome. We sat outside, but they have a very nice indoor dining area.
