We were able to get a table in the restaurant without a reservation. The dining room was a bit crowded, but not overwhelming so. The service was very professional. Though non-alcoholic drinks were not listed on the menu, they were able to offer hot tea and an exceptional non-alcoholic gimlet. I was somewhat disappointed in my food, the portions and flavor were just fine, but I and my dining companion felt ill later that afternoon.

Linguini and shrimp is my standard fare. I love the outdoor patio. And Liam is super nice.:)

Excellent service and food in a historic Sonoma Square location. Prices are reasonable and the wine list is filled with excellent choices.

Hands down my favorite place in Sonoma. The best bartenders and friendliest wait staff in town. The food never disappoints, ever!

Had a reservation at 5: 15 which allowed for quick service from the waitress as well as in receiving our meals - it got very busy later on, not 1 empty table in the place. The food was absolutely delicious. I will definitely return.

This place is classic! An authentic, Somoma original. The food is delicious! If you like eggplant parmigiana, the Swiss Hotel rendition of it, is a work of culinary art! Service is outstanding and atmosphere relaxed but has a nice ambiance. I recommend everyone to go there, especially if they say they want to experience the real Sonoma.

Been eating here for 30+ years, always consistently great food. Seriously best Caesar salad and calamari anywhere in town, probably even the county. Love their pizzas, the pancetta cambazola is my fav. The fish of the day always amazing, as well as the steak and pork chops. Prices are low for the quality, service and atmosphere. Swiss Hotel has a great ambiance throughout, plus comfortable bar & patios. Perfect date night spot to impress or special family outting.

My only suggestions to the Chef; the mango chutney served with the coconut shrimp; the shrimps themselves are outrageous, but that chutney is so bland & uninspired, I couldn't even tell it was mango. Trash it, start over! Either towards a salsa or a traditional Eastern mango chutney. Also, the avocado mango salad (not to pick on mangos), the butter lettuce is always soggy and limp and the dressing is flavorless. I would use seasoned rice wine vinegar as a tastier acid than whatever you're using, and add a little dried chili- Allepos would be amazing! I would toss the leaves in the dressing separately from all the toppings so as not to pulverize their integrity & top the dressed lettuce.

The lunch today was excellent and the service was very good. We each had.an appetizer and a salad and it was all very good. We could not decide on a dessert to split so we each had our own.

Feels like visiting grandma's house if grandma's house had a fun bar and was staffed with some friendly people! Not that it beats grandma's house. Love you grandma!

Delicious food, incredible ambiance, must visit this cool little historic hotel, restaurant and bar when coming to Sonoma.

We had the pleasure of hosting a reception here recently. The staff was incredible, especially Ayla who went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome! She was non stop hustling and obviously very hard working.

Kristin is amazing, genuine, and easy to work with. She helped our family put this emotionally tough event together. The end result was a beautiful celebration in the hidden Garden Patio.

Thank you Swiss Hotel!

Only stopped in for a cocktail, the graflax? Spelling is probably wrong. Its a secret house made coffee liquor, and it is very nice. Cool bar and hotel. Would sure like to try eating and staying here next trip

If it wasn’t for the grumpy older hostess at the front I would’ve given this place 5 stars. My fiancé and I walked in with our 2 year old who was starting become antsy for some lunch today. It wasn’t particularly busy and we stood at the front for a while before we were finally acknowledged. Immediately she gave off the impression that we were an inconvenience since we had a child with us. I get it, kids aren’t always fun to dine with but we were still very far from a full on meltdown and hadn’t had an outburst or caused a scene. She left to go seat another couple and told us she’s be back. 10 mins go by and nothing, she then brings another couple to the front and starts helping them while ignoring us entirely. The couple she was helping actually had suggested that’s she seat us first because we had been waiting a while. Instead, she roped in a waiter to seat us who was kind and friendly while she glared at us over her glasses. Our waitress was AWESOME, and all waitstaff was attentive and kind, even interacting with our toddler and striking up friendly conversation. Food was delicious and served quickly which I was very impressed with. When I had mentioned that our interaction with our hostess was less than pleasant, our waitress had acknowledged that this seems to be an ongoing issue and implied that her behavior was also common between the hostess and the other waitstaff. I sincerely hope that this review could lead to a training opportunity because good staff is difficult to find, but harder to keep if the environment is toxic as a result of negative behavior. I would love to return again but could do without the subpar hostess experience.

Slow to seat us, but service at the table was speedy. The food was very good and not overpriced.

Menu not as interesting as it used to be. Skirt steak sandwich was terrible... Inedible... Basically a few lumps of gristle that I couldn’t even cut. Calamari appetizer was delicious and dessert was fine but we won’t hurry back.

My wife and I ate a rather enjoyable lunch here over the weekend, basking in the beautiful weather outside in their little bistro area. The food was very good, with appropriate portion sizes - filling without being enormous - and generally excellent quality. The wine selection was solid, and even the coffee was tasty. The interior is also beautiful - looks like a fantastic bar and indoor seating area. We’ll definitely be back again sometime soon!

I’ve tried all the fancy expensive places around Sonoma. Pretentious, uncaring and marginal. First time here and it is a classic! Great service and great food! Great experience!
