Bar The Sycamore reviews
24 Even by pre-covid standards my 9 friends and I had one of the best Brunches we've had in a very, very long time.
I can't recommend this place enough.
Nice vibe, and the food and drinks are great. It has the feel of that hidden gem you can bring friends to.
The place is also very vegetarian friendly (as well as meat friendly). Our mixed group all was happy.
They also kept their kitchen open late (until just before the bar closes) which was awesome.
Thank you for accommodating our group of 30! Fantastic beers on tap (always seems to be a slur on rotation) and good food coming out of the kitchen AS LATE AS MIDNIGHT make this spot great!
I love it the two gentle man that open up the bar, being homeless I'm able to use the restroom right now 6/21/21 I'm trying to sleep on 15th St across from Latin community sleep 7-2 am coffee, across the st. 11-1 they give food
Service is ok; the vibe and food are very good. The bathroom is not clean, at least on a Sunday afternoon. This place has what you need for a hungover brunch.
This place has the most amazing staff with the greatest ambiance. I love going there because I always feel welcomed and the staff is amazing!
So after craving for a big juicy steak, we settled for Harris. I ordered the medium rare filet mignon with foie gras. And it actually came to be medium well. However, the scrumptious baked Alaska is a MUST MUST MUST for dessert! The caramelized banana and ice cream will melt in your mouth and instantly bring you to cloud nine! I promise. Christy, our server was really nice and constantly checking up on us. The price was reasonable. Definietly try the dessert though!
A no frills kind of bar with a nice happy hour. The staff were so nice, my only recommendation is to get them a fan for the hot days! A nice back garden and side parklet area and the bartender was very aware of making sure guests stayed 6 feet apart.
It is the best location for quick access to the main street " the Mission". I loved this street but the single room i used to rent is too extra tiny and extremely expensive.
One of the few places in the neighborhood open past 9pm (at least on Fridays) and we felt like public safety and standards were being well considered the entire time. Staff is very friendly and I highly recommend it.
Good music and a lively crowd! But floor was super sticky and the line to get upstairs was ridiculous! (Bar and restrooms downstairs club upstairs) If you are in the club and have to pee it will take you 30+ minutes to get back upstairs; they don’t care that you were already there.
Lots of great beers, good fried food, and delicious grilled cheese and tomato soup (I get it plain, because that's how I roll).
A grungy, authentic place for a fun bottomless brunch. Prices are super cheap! No frills, the waitress was mixing up individual bottles of champagne with OJ in front of us and kept them coming all morning long. Nice patio if you get there early enough to grab a seat. The pork belly donuts are super interesting and worth a try!
I've gotten the bottomless mimosas twice, and the second time was definitely not worth the money. Other than that the food is pretty good. Would recommend the egg benedict.
Local bar with beer on tap and a nice outdoor patio in the back. There are some board games available. There are plenty of game nights: trivia, bingo, which are a big draw. Also can be a good place for quiet conversation.
Good food and atmosphere. Small patio with a few tables in the back.
Great spot for brunch.
Often attracts a diverse crowd, like a reminder of how the Mission used to be. About 8 well-curated taps, good bottle selection. Excellent fries.
Mediocre spot for brunch. Communal seating in the back – basically picnic tables next to each other lengthwise. Their variation of a Bloody Mary was interesting (using soju instead of vodka due to lack of a liquor license) : it tasted great, but was too weak. Food was slightly disappointing. Service was generally okay, but staff had a bit of an attitude at times.
Great food, reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and the bottomless mimosas are strong! The smoked salmon eggs Benedict tastes like lemons and sunshine!
