BEWARE: I had be given a job and told to complete some background check drug screen vaccines normal job requirements I was so excited to work here I had gone in to take my Covid test and I got lost because I didn’t know where I was supposed to go to take my TB test abd apparently there were certain date to complete this by but nobody informed me of that so I guess the day I went wasn’t the correct date i spent this afternoon TODAY trying to figure out what more requirements I needed to complete so that I can start working, I am dyslexic this does not interfere with my capability to work I just have a hard time understanding certain things but most of the time if somebody were to explain things to me I would definitely understand better in this case that was not a option HR was rude really not understanding of my dyslexia because everytime I asked a question I got told NO you didn’t do this right you need to do this and it was just mean I did ask as many questions as I could to understand better regardless if she was just talking over me I was basically told you need to complete all of these task and that’s it the pdf said I had till January 29 it’s only been a week into January, well today I got a phone call to go in tomorrow to take my tb test and HR is telling me come at this time I’ll email you this and that so i then received another call within 10 minutes and it’s HR telling me I’m sorry to inform you that your position was given away to another person and we will no longer be hiring you.how ridiculous is that to give someone a job introduce them to the team the manger sandi was so excited to have me we spoke in her office about all my questions for over 10mins tops like what was the purpose in giving someone a job? Then offering it to someone else I’m just so disappointed they’re so unprofessional I have never in my entire life had anyone do this to me and it’s very frustrating I’m very disappointed this place was not the type of people they claimed to be “sandi is great nothing but respect for her” I HOPE ANYONE WHO SEES THIS AND IS TRYING TO APPLY IS AWARE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF GETTING YOUR HOPES UP AND TIME WASTED.

During all of the bad of 2020, including getting laid off, I have to say that being hired at the Terraces at San Joaquin Gardens has been the best career move of my life! Having spent my career in restaurants, I was excited to entire a new segment of dining service but I could not have predicted what this wonderful place would have on my life. From the very beginning, the team at TSJG made me feel accepted, despite never have worked at a senior facility. They made me feel comfortable and answered all of the questions I had. The entire director team made me feel at home as soon as I arrived, which allowed me to come out of my shell much quicker than normal. Our residents are second to none and also welcomed me with open arms and masked faces! This truly is a family environment. Every day I GET to come to work. Yes, I look forward to Fridays and the weekend with my family but on Sundays, I am looking forward to coming back to work. That has never been the case!

Thank you to everyone at the Terraces for making the past five months a true warm welcome to the San Joaquin Valley!

Older lady who said she was the Assistant named Sally Behling was very unprofessional and rude! Called me very vulgar names as i was trying to ask questions! She also kicked my infant daughter as i tried to get her to stop crying! I was appalled by her behavior and putting her hands on my kid! She threatened me and said her husband Kenneth would find me and kill my dogs. 2 days later Kenneth her husband followed me home and shot and killed my dog!

VOMITOUS FACILITY.
First, there is only ONE CAREGIVER FOR 18 PATIENTS. I had to hire 24/7 care on my own for my mother. They are supposed to ice her knee every four hours, they don't do that. She developed a fungus because they don't change her or clean her every two hours. They will not sit her up in bed. They give her the wrong prescriptions. Our private caregiver had to stop them. Our own caregiver was trying to get the nurse and it took her over one hour to respond to an emergency my mom was having. The caregivers there are also very rude and have a lot of attitude. You have better choices.

The Terraces is amazing! Everyone there is so kind and attentive to all the patients! The facility is extraordinary beyond! Extremely clean and inviting!
The food menu has many options, along with being so delicious!

My Mom is enjoying her stay for her rehab after surgery! Their patience with my Mom is enlightening to me!

Thank you ‘Terraces’ we appreciate all your doing for Mom!

I would give you more then five stars if allowed!

If you need a skilled nursing facility, beware
Not a good place to put ur loved ones. Way under staffed. The nurses tell patients to use there call button 1hr before they need something because it usually takes longer to for someone to answer a call light. Meds run 3hrs late on a regular basis. I worked in health cate for 15 years and shocked at the basic lack for human respect they give there patients. What a mistake.sorry Mom

I worked in the dining department for a year and 8 months and it was alright. It had fun times and bad times. Your voice is not heard by management here. They will not listen to what you have to say and are so closed minded. I moved to Santa Cruz and left the terraces on fantastic terms. The residents said "you were one of the best servers we have had here". I was close with management and all the servers and cooks so I thought maybe when I moved back to Fresno this past month I would reapply for the transportation department as they were looking for a couple people. Note that I knew and still know to this day where everything is and how everything works. So I apply for the transportation position and I get recommended by my two dining managers telling the transportation manager to hire me. Then i left at least 5-6 voicemails following up and called maybe 10 times in need of a job and wanted to come back. Well then I hear that the manager went on vacation and as he stated on his voicemail. Two weeks after calling and calling I find out he was never on vacation and was just IGNORING my phone calls and messages. And that they weren't hiring back former employees. I never got a call saying that I was selected for the position or anything just left waiting for a simple call back. Very disappointed with the way they handle my situation and realized that that's not the kind of place I would want to work for. They weren't very kind to their employees at all and in my opinion the amount of work that you have to do for that little pay is ridiculous. Getting paid minimum wage for all of the bs you have to deal with is not ok.

They are very kind and professional. I feel like my great-grandmother is getting excellent care whenever we visit her.

I have no family in Fresno. That is why I am so blessed to be a part of my Terrace Family. From the 1st day I spoke with a member of the Sales Team until the day I moved in, only 3 months had elapsed. And that was the best decision I made, ten plus years ago, except perhaps marrying my late husband. I was still working part time, and was a young 73. Life is full, busy, (peaceful when you want it to be) and exciting at the Terraces.

The San Joaquin Gardens is not only a great place to work. It is an amazing opportunity to make an intangible impact on the lives of extraordinary residents. The enrichment of the community is definitely of a different caliber. I would absolutely recommend anyone who is looking for an extraordinary and life fulfilling experience. Even after a year and a half, I am so fascinated by the impact that the San Joaquin Gardens has made on the lives of others.
