Um it's still chic and dark but like there was definitely sand in my chili lol. So maybe don't order the chili.

I made a reservation weeks in advance for a special event and the staff there contacted me the night before to let me know that a private event had booked out the half the restaurant, so they were cancelling my reservation 24 hours beforehand. Not even an apology. Will not be back here.

Really rather excellent! This is a popular place but it doesn't mean the staff are slouching or living on a reputation. I found the cocktail staff impeccable and the cocktails excellent!

Came for lunch before spa appt and sat for 20 minutes nobody came over to take an order. Wasn’t able to get lunch. Front desk was rude.

The food never fails here it’s always on point and the service is top notch. The Tower burger is mouth watering good must try. Also another staple on the menu is deviled egg. The restaurant is very dark and moody perfect for a date night. They have a great drink menu and all the cocktails are delicious. This is one of my favorite spots in LA.

Such a beautiful experience to have had brunch at this Hollywood landmark! Also the personnel was outstanding. Tony thanks for your great energy. Nothing to add! Star Sunday

I stayed at The Sunset Tower Hotel for 5 days and enjoyed dinner as well as breakfast daily at Tower Bar. I loved all of my meals, the service was fantastic, thank you Angel for being an absolute doll, and the atmosphere was stunning. Tower Bar stays packed and if you plan to dine here, I highly suggest that you make reservations. I had reservations for 1 and it took me 30 minutes to be seated and that was after I had asked for a manager (thanks Jen!). Besides that little snafu, I did not encounter any more issues. For dinner I did not want an entire bread basket and was very grateful when I was brought a pretzel bread. While the menu is not large, they do have quite a few mouthwatering options, but in the end, I chose the scallops that were cooked to perfection. For breakfast, I fell in love with the smoked salmon benedict, smoked salmon bagel spread, chicken apple sausage, huevos rancheros and the fruit and yogurt parfait. I was excited for the brussel sprout and quinoa bowl, but it was rather bland and not a favorite. While I did not eat lunch, I did eye a few plates and the dishes looked just as yummy as the dinner and breakfast items.

So the Tower bar was ok. The view is nice but too close to the sun bathers. The design inside is classy traditional and should be great at night time. We decided to try it out for brunch and the food was ok. The Chinese chicken salad may have been the best thing we ordered and we ordered 5 different dishes. The tuna poke was not great at all. Not seasoned well and the color of the tuna was dark grey. The chef should never approve sending out fish like this so I had to send it back. The tacos were ok also but nothing to be excited about and same goes for the burger. All in all, it would be nice for day time drinks and salad. I'm pretty bummed about this as I was really looking forward to the experience.

I suppose people visit for the incredible art deco building, and the "view" which is often shrouded in smog. The food is absolutely awful and over-priced and the attitude is pomposity in the extreme.

My spouse was celebrating his birthday. It was the height of the pandemic, so we had to sit outside which initially was disappointing. That changed when they seated us at a gorgeous table by the pool and the jazz quartet with that million dollar view of the city. Our server was excellent, and the classic dishes were delicious. We had the Deviled Eggs and the Wedge Salad to start, and the Fried Chicken and Rack of Lamb for our mains. Cocktails were perfectly made and served, we went with the servers suggestion and shared the Ice Cream Sundae. Is the food adventurous? No, but it is classic American cuisine in a very swanky and expensive place that makes you feel like a million bucks, because it’s well worth every penny. It really has become our favorite go to restaurant for a special evening because it’s a class act, with lovely staff members who know how to treat their guests to a superlative experience. If you want to dress down and desire trendy, molecular cuisine in a loud, Hollywood club kid environment, I don’t think that this is your kind of place, it’s sort of for grownups.

Love this bar and restaurant. They have music on both sides, but we especially enjoy the piano bar side. It's hard to find mellow piano bars these days, so this is a wonderful and classy option. The staff is super friendly and very efficient, drinks are great, food is great, just a wonderful experience.

You cannot go wrong with Tower Bar.
It's a rather expensive restaurant but really worth the "Great Fresh Food", "Very diligent Staff" and of course "the ambiance".

Very low key and good vibes. Didn’t had dinner but could stay at the bar having some wine and enjoying some great jazz. It was really nice

Very nice old school vibe on left dinning room. Cool, hip vibe on right side. Bring a flash kit if dinning on left side, impossible to see menu if not. Service was impeccable. Pianist playing was a classy touch. Bartender team couldn’t be more attentive and personable. The fired chicken was very good but the sauce is VERY spicy. Be careful if like me you don’t like spice to put it on. Also, ordered the Waygu special 36 oz steak. Was tough. For $175 I expected more. Also, when price point avg for a entree is around $45 the server should mention price is 300% higher for specials. Overall an excellent Old school Hollywood dinning experience (if on right side).

Also, they sat us 20 min after reservation time. A resatarunt that size should be better then that. Especially with three hostesses.

You do not come here for the food which is over priced for the awful quality but you do come here for the vibe and how pretty/iconic it is. Wish they would improve the food quality- we had amazing service when we came so the food is the only thing letting it down…
