The UPS Store, San Diego CA

This has been my main UPS location. It's located in balboa avenue in the nicest part of town, food, many other stores to include vons groceries across from it. They just installed over fifty electric charge stations in the parking lot. Enough on the exterior, this ups store is full service and the manager is a SDSU graduate, go Aztecs! All of the staff is well experienced that I have met, although, I have seen two new female employees. They can mail nearly anything handle all returns, even if you were going to kohls for a amazon return. The line staff will assist you with changing your return location, far above their job pay because they actually care! It's a busy store and at times I have seen about seven employees working. I do keep a mailbox here too and if they can they discount if you ask for it.as it applies, military. Store inside is impressive as they have a toddler train toy center desk. Ample self help computer and package desks about five. Always has scissors, cutting tools and trash cans everywhere. Also, they are pet friendly with food and water bowl placed outside. Just please don't let your pet take a dump inside and you leave it as was the case recently, so sad. I've only been to one other place if business on this level. My score is a 11 out of ten. Ofcourse, while this is a busy location if you like smaller tranquil setting ups in Santee comes in first place.

It's rude and turns off the lights 30 minutes before business hours.

They accept USPS parcels according to their mood.

Do yourself a favor, and never go here. I, also, have a few suggestions for the manager/owner.

1. Get a better software/hardware.
2. Hire people who can actually deal with customers.

When I went in this morning, I was informed that the "computers were down" by the very rude man that was behind the counter. This is the 3rd time in about a month this has happened to me when I needed their services. He went on to say that I could come back in the afternoon to see if they were working yet. When I mentioned that I had walked there, he told me to "take an Uber like a normal person". He then proceeded to tell another woman that he couldn't help her, and didn't really even explain why. I understand that times are difficult right now, but that is NO excuse for this behavior towards someone who is just trying to drop off a package.

I did go to another UPS store, and my experience was the complete opposite. I told them what happened at store 6322. They were not surprised. My guess is that after dealing with the jerky attitude from the people at this location, customers go to the other one and they hear it all the time.

Jordan, the manager, informed me that this franchise can choose to not accept items, and wrongly told me that UPS would not ship the items. I ship the same items weekly at other UPS Stores in the area, however this location has a policy about accepting items they don't want to. There were already labels on them. They meet UPS Guidelines and weight standards and just needed to be picked up by the ground driver.

His power trip resulted in me driving 8 miles out of my way to ship something that every other UPS store accepts.

Avoid this location, and Jordan the manager should be aware that he is turning away high paying UPS account holders. I will be filing a complaint with UPS.

This store uses shady tactics to get money out of you. I tried to print online and couldn't get the formatting correct. I loaded my thumb stick with the document and walked in the store. They charge to use the computer, not just to print, and it said 60 cents a minute. I was on the computer for less than a minute and they charged me $2. The system said "minimum card payment" which I figured meant for my entire transaction. I printed 72 pages, which was a little over $5, but my bill was close to $10 after fees. That is just plain shady and unnecessary. You can walk into Office Depot and hand them a thumb stick and they won't charge service fees to print; only the cost of printing. Store clerks offered me no help.

Only has 1 clerk in the store in the middle of the day. Super slow, the line is out the door. That is ridiculous!

Great option to PACK and ship, the main UPS hub down the road does not pack. I also found on small packages I save money on shipping, more than when I use my own UPS account#. Staff is friendly, and multi-tasking is an art with these guys!

This store is excellent! I had a complicated work load, and needed to make some copies, have something notarized and then ship it off. The staff was so helpful and took good care of me. While I was there, I found out they had a complete print shop that I also used to order Business cards, and personalized office goods. Thank you staff of this UPS Store, you rock!

Service is slow. There were no other customers when I arrived to mail two letters. Although there were three employees in the store it took 25 minutes before I could leave. When another customer entered the store 3 minutes after I arrived, the sole employee who could be bothered to acknowledge a customer chose to begin her transaction rather than complete mine first. My one prior experience at this location was similarly frustrating.

I totally agree with the other great reviews. This is the best UPS Store around. Eric and the crew consistently deliver outstanding service. We have moved all of our printing to them. They deliver on time, on budget with a great attitude every time. They now print our stickers, cards, presentation folders, training manuals, bus cards, brochures etc.

I needed to print 100 copies of my wedding program. I came 15 minutes before they were about to close and Cliff helped me figure out how to print the programs and get them exactly how I wanted them to look. He stayed 45 min after closing to help us. He was so helpful and happy to do it. This place gets 5 stars because it is the cheapest place per sheet to print color or black and white and also because Cliff was so awesome.
