Friendly staff at move-in. Management went out of their way to make sure we had sufficient parking. So far so good!

Re: former Maintenance Manager, Garrion Kindred

I am genuinely going to miss Garrion so much. He was simply wonderful. He went above and beyond his responsibilities as the Maintenance Manager.

After our last Maintenance Manager, Elias was unfairly fired, I was unsure if anyone would be able to “fill his shoes. ” Elias was the absolute greatest addition to the Village. He set the bar for exemplifying the utmost professionalism, kindness, assistance, integrity, etc, and for a while, things just weren’t the same, until Garrion Kindred joined Village @ SC. This complex has had an unfortunate history of letting some of the best people go and/or leave. The overall turnover rate of employees makes it rather difficult to get to know the people who represent this complex and the Remm Group. This needs to change. It’s people like Elias and Garrion who make living here feel like home; familiar, safe and trustworthy.

Both Elias and Garrion are irreplaceable.
Any employer will be lucky to have them aboard. I hope that they are appreciated, respected and acknowledged for being such exceptionally honorable, hard working and dependable individuals.

Thank you Garrion Kindred for making Village@SC feel like home. Your presence allowed us to feel safe, your exemplary chivalry is immeasurable, and your remarkable dedication to offer as much help and assistance here will truly be missed.

Sincerely,
Chris Black
Resident of Village at South Coast since 2011

I've never been happier to live in an apartment complex! It's beautiful, the service guys always come the same day to fix anything, big or small, and the customer service from the office is amazing! I'd recommend living here to everyone I know!

They cant seem to keep the water turned on and will turn it off with no notice when you are in the shower and not turn it back on for six hours. Happened three times now.

Then they don't answer their phone!

Really tired of my water being turned off. I haven't been able to shower, make coffee, or use the toilet for about 4 hours today. This is the 3rd or 4th time this has happened with no notice.

The Village at South Coast is a convenient, cozy apartment complex located near the Costa Mesa/Santa Ana border, between the 405,55 and 73 highways and near the John Wayne International Airport. You’d expect there to be a lot of noise, but there’s not.

The location is good - - near the South Coast Plaza, Orange Coast College, Upper Newport Bay Nature Preserve, UCAL Irvine, Huntington and Newport beaches – and many restaurants and clubs.

The apartments are clean and we’ll maintained. Maintenance requests are addressed in a timely fashion. The management live on site, and are responsive and courteous. Parking could be an issue if you have a lot of guests, but this is pretty much the same anywhere in the Los Angeles area. I rented a garage, which was very roomy – large enough for my GMC Suburban, a motorcycle and much more.

The amenities include pools and jacuzzis, as well as on site laundry that takes credit cards.

Overall, my experience at The Village at South Coast was positive, and I recommend this complex to anybody looking for a fairly priced apartment complex in southern Orange county.

We simply love this place! Super nice and chill; relaxing and quiet. Dave, the property manager, is the best. He’s been very supportive and accessible from the day one and always there to helps out with any questions or concerns. Gary is a super friendly maintenance guy and is always there to fix and/or adjust anything you need.
Even tho we are still unpacking, as we moved here just few weeks ago, this place feels like home.
If you have a family or you are single this place is for you.

Been here for over 6 months and none of the request that I put in for things to be repaired have actually been done. You miss your rent by just a couple of days and they put a note on your door to move out within 3 days. Don't move in here it's overpriced for a tiny apartment with a horrible person working the front. To be fair, the guy who usually runs the front is extremely nice, professional, and able to have a constructive conversation without becoming emotionally elevated.

We were disappointed initially with the rate hike, but when I met with Lindsay, she told us of what a great value we would have with an upgraded apartment. We love the area, it's close to my wife's work, and we can get almost anywhere in OC in 20 minutes or less. The quartz counter tops are lovely, the new cabinets and stainless steal appliances definitely add value and really makes it seem high end. Highly recommend.

I lived.we paid $500 deposit. When we moved out They took $400 without any information. They said they r going to come pre inspection. They dint come. We cleaned everything. Eventhough we cleaned well, they deducted the deposit amount for stream clean and painting. When we moved out I dont know how to give the apt to them. When we lived its ok. But we moved out They are not giving good response.not satisfied.when you moved out BE AWARE.

My wife and I moved here a little over a year ago, and I can confidently say this is the best complex we have lived in in the nine years we have been together. We fell in love with the place on our first showing. In most leading scenarios, you are usually shown the best unit and promised only the most ideal circumstances. ", only to be disappointed shortly after move-in. Our experience here has been just the opposite. Living here is actually better than we expected.

Maintenance is always timely, and the crew are just about the friendliest guys you could meet. The grounds are always clean and appealing. The atmosphere is very peaceful and quiet. Neighbors are either super friendly or quiet and keep to themselves. The management office is very committed and professional. The new manager, Lindsay, is a real-straight shooter and is on top of it at all times. You can tell that she is someone who really cares about the quality of her work. The place runs like a well-oiled machine.

In addition, the units are beautiful. The renovation that they have done here is more than worth the rental price, and we have not had a single problem with any of the newly installed appliances. Parking is vary accessible, and we have TWO dedicated spots with our two-bedroom apartment. Also, there is plenty of street parking to boot.

In Southern California, most properties treat you like you don't matter, because everyone in the world wants to live here. It's very rare to find a place that goes above and beyond the call, and this is one of them.

My family and I are among some of the long-term tenants who have been living in Woodland Village Apartments (WVA) for nearly two decades. We love its convenience and surrounding areas. It’s inside the the triangle of the three freeways: 405,55, and 73, center to many places of our daily activities, including supermarkets, bookstores, schools, parks, and high tech job areas. We like the people here. Many professionals live in WMA. My neighbors are very nice and friendly. It’s a family oriented community, clean and safe for children and families. Many families know one another and celebrate holidays together. Recently, the management company have been making many improvements and upgrades. With the help of the management staff, people are being transferred to the upgraded units. Lindsay, the manager, and Elias, the maintenance man, are liked and highly appreciated by many tenants because they, in addition to being courteous and professional, really care about their tenants. They are the ones that helped to keep my family and many others to stay here. They are among the best one can ask for.

My wife and I have lived here all most 5 years now and sorry to say, we're having to relocate closer to our jobs. Elias runs the maintenance crew here and has done a great job with keeping everything running and is always on top of any work orders we have requested.
There has been a lot of managers who came and gone. Lindsey came aboard and really has made a difference at this complex. She is very easy to talk to and seems to care for the tenants and making sure we are happy here. She has been one of the best complex managers we have ever dealt with.
