The Waffle reviews
16Great service and amazing food. The strawberry cheesecake waffle was a hit at out table. We also really liked the bacon - thick cut: delicious. Everything we ordered was really good. Parking can be tricky - but we just used a nearby lot; it was a few bucks for two hours of parking, not too bad.
Great food, service and following covid regulations. Portions are big and coffee is really good.
We ate brunch here with a small group of friends after a visit of the Van Gogh Immersive Exhibit nearby. I Enjoyed the Smoked Salmon waffle, particularly. While we had to stand in line for a bit to get in on a Saturday midday, it was a good experience. Friendly vibe altogether good service and would recommend to check out this Hollywood staple if you haven’t already!
Nice place to have breakfast, delicious but small portions. The terrace is definitely a big plus. The staff was nice and friendly.
SO DELICIOUS! My sister and I went and both got waffles, she got one of the classic menu items and I got their special, which at the time was a lemon pound cake waffle with raspberry compote. Some of the best food I’ve ever had, not gonna lie. I would say it is best to go there if you haven’t eaten a lot that day and are craving something VERY sweet because my sister and I were super full and barely finished our meals. Highly recommend though!
This place did not live up to the hype. I spent about $60 on a sub par breakfast for 2 people. I ordered the breakfast burrito and the gluten free waffles. The tortilla for the burrito was hard and the eggs were not cooked all the way. The waffle was very grainy and just kind of crumbled apart in to little pieces. Add warm fruit and cold bacon to the mix and it was all just sad. They also have an automatic gratuity added to each bill which i don't mind but would have liked to have been informed of. I could have gone to IHop and gotten better food for half the price.
BEST WAFFLES EVERRR! I only stayed in LA for a week, but I came to eat here twice. The red velvet waffles were to die for, and the presentation of the food is just as hyped as the taste. If you get their hot chocolate it’s like a whole dessert! By far my favorite place to eat and would recommend to anyone living or visiting LA!
Owner Dru just replies to comments saying "so sorry, we do our best, etc. " instead of actually addressing any of the complaints and issues.
We were worried when we walked up due to the long line, but they have service down to a science. Everything was handled so efficiently and safely. Food was delicious and worth the modest wait.
O. M. G. The tres leches waffles are amazingly delicious, the chicken breast was fried perfectly! I'm going tomorrow for something different can't wait.
Great service and even though we came in at the typical breakfast hour it only took us 10 minutes to be seated. It seemed like there was a long line but thet attend to you very fast. Very fast, to get our food as well. The servers and staff were very nice and the ambience in the restaurant is very cool. The outside patio gives a good view of Sunset Blv.as well. Food was really good specifically the Belgian waffles. Parking was also very good since there's a designated parking garage. It seems to be a place that not very people know of since I would expect a place as good as this to be more busy.
When we walked up there was a really long line. Parking in the parking lot next door is $10 for 2 hours and $20 all day.
So basically, you wait in line and look at the menu while you wait. Someone should come down the line handing out gigantic menus. Once you reach the front of the line, they take your actual order.
If you are fully vaccinated, you may sit indoors.if you are not, you may sit outdoors.
After they take your order, they’ll have you still wait in line until they hand you a receipt with your total. Once you get the receipt you head inside to pay. They will give you a number and then seat you so that your server knows where to find your table.
You can order more food and drink later but they do require payment immediately—not when you’re finished eating.
I ordered the French Toast combo — it came with eggs, potatoes, and sausage. I opted for grilled chicken breast instead of sausage/bacon and that was an upcharge.
French toast was good!
The grilled chicken’s consistency was more like the chashu from a Ramen place—if you eat Ramen a lot you’ll know what I mean. It could’ve been better.
My bf ordered the red velvet waffle— you have the option to get a half or full waffle. He thought it was so delicious he was damned near crying. He also ordered the steak and eggs. Initially, his steak was over cooked and burnt, but the manager swapped it out no problem. The new steak was juicy and cooked just right.
We also ordered the mimosas— they come in 16oz mason jars. Definitely recommend the strawberry!
I have no words to describe the wonderful experience at The Waffle House. So here’s a picture instead
Was told menu items were dairy free, and they weren't. They corrected the issue by substituting chili for my gravy but gave me cheese on the side. The staff, while pleasant, nice and kind we're not clean or neatly dressed. I'd come back.
The waffle. Oh wow. You'll be in love with the taste and the moment of starting to eat that thing.
I could have given this a much higher rating but the customer service was so terrible. I ordered over the phone for pick up. I specifically requsted utensils. When I got my food there was no utensils. So I had no way to even eat the food. I track down some plasticware from the hotel. My food was ice cold. The blueberry and lemon topping was cold and thick like it came directly from the refrigerator and was not warmed at all. The food had a good flavor and was seasoned. So two stars for that. But when I called them and told them about my utensils it was a sorry about that and nothing more.
