The Wayfarer San Diego reviews
15Awesome place to stay for a visit. Worth paying extra to be right on the beach and located within walking distance to so many restaurants. Love that beach chairs and bikes are available for rent from hotel. We were there during the week and it was super quiet at night so not sure what weekends are like. Will definitely stay here again and recommend this place
Loved the location, it was on the boardwalk, and near great restaurants. Parking was easy and the staff was very courteous.
This hotel was fantastic! Location is great and allows you to really enjoy the beach and pacific beach boardwalk. Our room faced the ocean and overlooked the pool area and was great! The hotel staff were very friendly and cleaning constantly -including vacuuming and sweeping sand from the outdoor area throughout the day! We will be back!
I would have given this 5, except the hot tub want available and the fire pit area wasn't very shareable with other guests
Side rooms angled nicely to facilitate a decent view of the Pacific. Staff will cater to or leave you alone, whichever you desire.
Pretty nice, very chill surfer place. Paying for the beach location obviously but rooms are pretty good. Star rating is likely exaggerated but I can't complain because I saw all the pictures and amenities before reserving
I recently celebrated my 50th birthday in SoCal (from Chicago). I spent a few a few nights on Pacific Beach a the Blue Sea Hotel. It was awesome! For a small fee, I had easy parking. My room gave me an ocean/pool view and I was able to leave my sliding door open all night to enjoy the ocean waves. The pool was clean with plenty of seating-and even a fire pit! Each morning @pourboycoffeeco.com made fresh customized pour over coffee from his cart. I walked every where! I ate delicious fish tacos and SoCalMexican foo. My hotel made it easy to get to the beach.literally walk out the gate and cross the board walk and the staff was completely accommodating. The other guests had a great vibe. Special thanks to Dan the IL transplant and Natalie. I will be back! Also shout out to Reese and Maren @pbalehouse.com and Dylan @bluewatersurfco.com
Friendly staff. Conveniently located. We stayed in an ocean front room on the 3rd floor. I was concerned we would have a "partial view" based on some photos. I called to verify that it would not be. The staff member told me it was "the best view in the house". He wasn't lying. The view was amazing! I'll definitely be back. Thank you for the hospitality!
Room was clean. Flat screen was pretty big. View of the ocean was nice. Would have given 5 stars if the hotel provided movie changes like HBO. Plus the Jacuzzi was down but not the pool.: (Other then that, it was a great experience.
Perfect in every way. Our room was on the 3rd floor oceanfront. You actually feel like your sleeping on the beach. We left our door open at night to hear waves crashing. I just love this hotel. The rooms were very clean, pool area fantastic, and I met such nice people. Can’t wait to go back.
We had a wonderful stay at Blue Sea! Oceanfront view was amazing. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was helpful. The pool right on the boardwalk was fun to catch rays AND people watch.
Would come back!
We stayed ocean front, in the southwest tower. The view was incredible, the bed was so comfortable, the room was CLEAN, the team is VERY friendly and accommodating, and the location is great! They are right on the boardwalk/beach.a walk to all the cool PB restaurants and bars. A little walk down the board walk to mission beach and Belmont park.
They have the pool open, the hot tub is closed currently for COVID, there is a fire pit at the pool which is a great feature. We rented chairs for the beach - it was so easy, and they also had some beach towels to use. Waking up, having coffee and breakfast (we went to Ralph’s and got fruit, some more k-cups, and some breakfast sandwiches to heat up) on the balcony watching the dolphins was incredible - as well as watching the sunset with some wine.
This hotel was great, I never heard our neighbors, keeping the balcony door open at night was great to hear the waves, but very quiet with the door closed. It seems they are renovating some rooms, but we were never bothered by construction noise we will come back! Thank you Blue Sea!
Just wanted to update my previous post. I was able to speak with Michael Orantes, asst General manager, and we were able to resolve the issues I had previously stated! I was impressed by his professionalism and his willingness to listen and resolve my issues! It was appreciated and I definitely will be returning for future stays! Thanks again!
View is awesome, bed is comfy, very small room though for a beach front room. No coffee at all in room.thats a negative for me.
If anybody is looking for good deals for hotels and resorts go over to ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ. ᴄᴏᴍ made a reservation for a hotel on there and these guys had the absolute best rates any where!
The location is perfect. Lots of shops, bars, and restaurants near by. You can either walk or use the free scooters all around San Diego. They have a great pool. Rooms are completely renovated, and very clean
