We performed a jump start in this garage and they only allow three minutes to spend inside before you have to pay $10

Great city parking location. I must say this garage is well maintained, very clean, and does not look rapey.comes with a very pricey per hour at $10. Oouufff

DO NOT PARK AT WHITE HOUSE GARAGE! No communication that the lot is full and then charge you $10 to exit. They refused to refund me even with proof of short duration and knowing the lot was full.

The White House Garage is a very clean, safe, and wonderfully maintained parking facility and conveniently located to most Union Square, and China Town attractions. The prices per hour are generally comparable to most other parking locations and has five floors to choose. Spaces are somewhat narrow and tight, so if you have an oversized vehicle, it’s a little difficult to Navigate the ramps and spaces. The only real nagative experience I’ve had and continue to have each time I park here which is at least four times a month, is the short Hispanic guy normally found on level five where I like to park. He stands at the top of the ramp and always seems as if he’s had way to much coffee. In a very loud and what he thinks is a intimidating voice yells at me asking “How long you gonna be here”? First off, I don’t think I owe him, or anyone else an explanation as to how long I plan on parking. I have business in the area, and sometimes, I spend the entire day and sometimes I don’t. He then attempts to tell me where I should park and again, if I’m a paying customer, $15-34 per day, I will park where I feel most comfortable. I understand their practice is to stack cars and are attempting to maximize the entire space, but there is a way to interact with the customer base, and then there isn’t. I find this over-excited short-framed man to be very rude, unprofessional, and not very articulate. He has a very short fuse and has no clue how to communicate with anyone. I’m sure I’m not alone on this because I’ve seen him get very aggressive with anyone attempting to park. Aside from the parking Marshall which is what i and others refer to him as, I really like the White House Garage and would recommend this parking option because of how clean, well-lit, and safe, and centrally located it seems to be. Be sure to Say hello to the Marshall.

Dishonest management. We stayed less than 12 hours in the garage (proven by ticket) and yet we paid for more than 12 hours. We were told we could not ask for a refund because we already paid the ticket, we should have asked first.

This is your chance to park in the worlds nicest, cleanest self-park garage with 24 hour security. Sure beats trying to park on the street in San Francisco.

Clean, brightly lit and open 24/7. Definitely pricey but worth it for me. I park there every night when working swing/night shifts in the area. Midsize lifted truck fits easily. Wide spaces along outside walls are perfect. Will update this review over time.

Update 10/27/21:

Why?: Frustrated, had to pay $8 more at the exit kiosk after paying on way to truck then taking the slow elevator and a phone call before pulling out and leaving. Just a bad experience, bad policy. They knew me and still wouldn't waive the fee (parked there for months).

TIP: Lesson learned! Pay at the gate on way out (machine works the same) not at the machines in the lobby. They charge $8 more if you don't leave within 10 minutes of paying (or so).

Very clean, safe and spacious. Historic parking building in San Francisco. Highly recommend you park indoors if you visit San Francisco. Especially in a well guarded parking lot. It's dangerous parking outdoors. Very high chance of getting your windows smashed and robbed.

This parking garage charged me $10 for 6 minutes! I went in there and didn't even get out of my car and they charged me. It is a rip off! Do not park here unless you're absolutely sure you're going to park there.

THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY! The price is $10 for the first hour, and they ask you to pay it before you go to your car. I stayed 30 minutes, paid $10, and went to my car. I was not feeling super well, so I decided to eat my lunch before driving. I left the garage at minute 52, less than the 1 hour I paid. They requested another payment because I OVERSTAYED 15 minutes after the payment! I paid for 1 hour, stayed 52 minutes, and was forced to pay for 2 hours. When I told them I did not want to pay twice for the same hour, the guy left me there, with my car locked by the exit, and told me I would not leave without paying. He did not even want to talk and disappeared. Only after I called the police and threatened to block the exit, more than 30 minutes later, a supervisor came to talk to me. He said that I passed my "grace period" after my payment. This does not make ANY sense. A person can stay 1 hour plus 15 minutes for a grace period for $10. However, I stayed 52 minutes and needed to pay twice just because I followed the signs and paid before entering my car instead of paying by the gate. If I had just paid at the same time by the gate, it would be 10 dollars. But because I followed the sign and paid a few minutes earlier, I had to pay twice. This is ridiculous. The guy was disrespectful, and the entire situation was outrageous! Just because I was too tired and the police said they would take a long time to come, I paid another $10 to go home. Now I want my money back and someone to fix their flawed system and their stupid employee. And I do have my receipt. It says 52 minutes and TWO payments of $10.

Very nice parking deck but it cheats you a minute and charges you $5 for that minutes. Explanation: The sign says 1.5-2 hours is $20. I put in my time at PRECISELY 120 minutes/two hours according to the time stamp on my card and the machine, and it charged me $25. So annoying.

Good place unless you go to the 1 or 2nd floor. The turns of the driveways made me nervous

I park here quite often for work because it’s convenient and always accessible. But when they say first hour is $8, it’s not true. Took my ticket it at 1: 40 pm in the dot, went to pay at 2: 40 on the dot and still got charged for 2 hours. Showed the guy at the counter and he just shrugged. Might park here again, might go elsewhere, who knows ‍️ Def won’t run 5 blocks to make it in an hour next time though, that’s for sure!
