I personally had bad allergies from hiking here and thought the parking situation didn't make sense (small parking lot and one way in/out. Otherwise, a hiking spot with giant trees.no cars when we went on a weekend and only 2-3 cars when coming out

Dog-friendly and about four miles of trails if you explore every inch of this smaller open space preserve. Proceed off 84 (through large bricks pillars that look like private drive) up to parking lot about 1/3 of mile up. It’s basically a one way width road which is why it looks like a driveway, but trust me! Beautiful hiking, some nice ups & downs, and great fall colors this time of year. Greta old trees for shade:) There is parking on the other side of the park as well, enjoy!

I've wanted to check out this park for quite some time and a few times we did stop there was no parking. There is a total of nine parking spots plus one handicap spot and it is tight. Make sure to back into your parking spot or else you're going to have a world of trouble trying to get out. Today we stopped there by chance and miraculously someone was walking to their car and we were able to back into our spot. There is a Private Road that is not for pedestrians and the trail that goes alongside of it. This park is pretty small compared to all the other ones and a walk down to a lackluster pond I just don't think was worth the time but I'm happy to check this one off my list. If you walk all the way down it's about 400 ft in elevation not too steep. The one highlight of this trip was on the way up I thought I was taking a shortcut and I found a geocache which was the first one I've ever found. You'll see my signature there. There's a couple of good opportunities to take photos of the bay and Stanford Tower. Of course we did pass a couple families with their kids and the little girls of course complaining that they didn't want to walk anymore. Parents please stop forcing your daughters to go on hikes unless they want to, I mean the complaining is loud enough to make us want to get away from your family as soon as possible.

Small uncrowded local park with just two trails, ending at a small lake that is more of a bog. It's pretty with nice views, and it's dog friendly, but it desperately needs a connector trail between the two parking lots to make a loop instead of only out and back options. From the upper lot, the path to the lake is easy and just more than a one mile round trip.

We had a great short hike. Great for dogs. Not to many people. Great redwoods. Our dog played in creek.
Wished there was a loop.

Start at the bottom. Hike up to the parking lot. Then retrace your steps to see the lake that is heavily sedimented. Hike back to the bottom. Quick entry to beautiful California redwoods.

Nice short 3 mile trail with plenty of shade. Parking is extremely limited to 5 cars without parking on the street. There is another small parking lot in another area.

Lovely shaded hike with tall redwoods. Dog friendly. Lightly trafficked. Couple of spots with amazing views of the bay.

Short trail but enough long for kids to walk.you 'll get sunshades and see many flowers on the side, so it's cozy trail.

Great trail! Mostly covered by the shades of the trees so very great for a summer walk. These redwoods are stunning.

Another great Mid Pen open space Preserve. My first time visiting. Beautiful Redwoods. View is nice. Some wildflowers going on. It's not a big place, but just a few shorter trails to hike on. The road to get in and out is a little tricky off the 84. Be watchful of cars. And almost like a one lane road going into the parking lot.

Beautiful. When people wear their masks. I don't care what the CDC said. Bring a mask with you.

A real hidden gem. Beautiful redwoods, interesting artifacts of old structures and plenty of quiet spaces.

This is a beautiful area, with many redwoods and a small lake. Trails stay away from houses until the very top of the park, which I find refreshing. I entered from the trailhead on Old La Honda Road. Parking is limited. It's nice because the trail is all uphill. It makes it easier to convince a hiking partner to explore the area thoroughly, because getting back to the car is pretty easy.
