Three Rivers Historical Museum reviews
14The museum has a decent selection of local historical items. The place is well maintained. Came here for book signing. The museum has different events monthly. It's also a stop of Sequoia shuttle.
Awesome slice of history! They have some amazing artifacts and old photos. Definitely worth checking out! Also really great souvenirs to buy.
Tons of great info on local history made even better with the knowledge of the friendly, helpful docents. And clean public bathrooms in the parking lots. Absolutely worth a visit when you're in the area
Interesting personal and community artifacts from the area. We always to stop at local museums to appreciate how the community began and has evolved, how the local natural resources were utilized and/or preserved. This place definitely has all that.
A MUST READ: check out the exhibit aboutsequins Mr Walt Disney's efforts to build a ski resort in the area - 30+ years in the making, but ultimately halted by opposition wanting to preserve the seqouias.
Very nice historical visitor center! Everything
was so interesting and amazing to look at.
And Tom was a great guide! He was very
nice and gave us a lot of interesting facts. I
definitely recommend everyone stopping by: D
On the way to sequoia national park and noticed this museum. There’s also a public restroom and Sequoia shuttle stop here. There are so many historical equipments and vehicles to see. Too bad it was too hot to hangout outside. I only quickly took these photos and ran back to our car.
A really well organized place with lots of antique gadgets and tools and other things used by the Kaweah people.
Always an interesting stop.
Tom Marshall is always friendly & helpful, very knowledgeable.
Very cool information, super nice people. Stop by if you're in town and learn some cool stuff!
Lots of photos and artifacts of the local area. The area is rich in history that you can't otherwise find out about. We didn't have much time to see everything but will definitely return.
Old artifacts that bring back memories. Momentos to take home. Nice lady at the counter, very informative and helpful.
A great place to check out local history and admire the cross section of the wood on display of a 2000 year old trunk. The staff was super helpful and restrooms were clean although a bit away from the main building. Loved how friendly the staff was who are all volunteers. Thank you.
Awesome historical museum with plenty of native American artifacts, gold Rush history, and just general history. Best part is its free, and was literally right across the street from our honeymoon cabin! Highly recommended!
Very nice staff and interesting stop right before coming into the sequoia national park. If you are looking for small souvenirs, the pins, magnets and other small items are less expensive here than in the park. I bought in both places in order to contribute to the national park and the local museum.
