Thrifty Car Rental

Don't even bother unless you want them to rip you off with your money.

Charge me twice, and they keep ignoring my emails and calls.

The counter clerk scammed me. She told me Expedia had canceled my reservation and sold me a rental car that was $80.00
More that Expedia had quoted me. Come to find out Expedia cannot cancel my reservation that I would have had to cancel it myself. I never had a reservation with Thrifty. It was with Fox. She took advantage of a senior citizen. Pitiful.
The car worked perfectly. I got to thank you for that.

Hassan always takes care of my family and I when it comes to our rental always accommodating to our needs I am very pleased with Thrifty because of the service

45 min check in to get car. No joke.
Ev car had to be charged daily only going maybe 50 miles per day.
Couldn't look up my account for a receipt by my name/drivers license. I will not rent from thrifty again.

First I arrived to rent a car and the car they offered smelled of cigarettes very bad and there was some ashes left inside. Then I went and asked for a different car and they tried to downgrade me to a smaller car cheaper car without even offerent me the lower price for the smaller compact car. The manager was great about getting me into a rental but everything went downhill from there. When I went to return the car, the lot was closed, no one was there and they knew I was due to return the car at a certain time. They left me no instructions on returning the car after hours and there was a car parked infront of the gate so I had to pull into the adjoining lot. Now they are saying I never returned the car. I have had customer care submit countless closeout requests and was told I would have it closed in 24-48 hours but those times came and went and I still have gotten no response or resolution. Do not rent from Thrifty, Dollar or Hertz at this location. They are not very organized.

PLEASE READ IF YOU HAVE LATE ARRIVAL FLIGHT! Called before departing to let them know our flight was delayed and we would arrive around midnight - they told us someone would be waiting for us to pick up our car, well.this was not the case. Thrifty was closed & we had to pay $30 to get to our hotel; with the inconvenience of now having to return tomorrow to pick up the car. Talk about a horrible experience.

Attitude problem. Won't honor a car I booked today on car rentals. Telling me to book today and come back another day. It took me many miles to come here and they said I should come back the next day to retrieve the vehicle which would would cause me to drive many more times.

Surprisingly, this was the best car rental experience I've had. I'll be making this my main company to rent with

I chose this place for price. It took about 15 minutes to get in and out. The car I was give didn't have the room I was expecting in its class. It got me where I need to be. It was clean and drove really nice. Nissan Altima

This review for Dollar which is part of the Thrifty car rental family. Had a reservation with confirmation that I booked through SouthWest Airlines. Upon arrival in Los Angeles and after waiting in a long line I was told there were no cars left to rent!? Seems when you book through a third party there is no guarantee that there will be a car available. How lame is that? Makes Dollar/Thrifty look real bad. Don't partner with other parties if the system is flawed. And with modern technology we still are throwing darts to get something to work? Book direct and avoid the trouble. Also while waiting in line this same thing happened to two other groups of people. What a joke!

Beware: If you had already prepaid a rental with an online travel agency, don't let them talk you into an upgrade ". That's less than your prepay. " cuz it's an additional cost on top of what you already prepaid. They don't tell you it's an additional cost. They make it seem like they are doing you a favor because the price of the upgrade was lower or on special pricing than your prepay. It's not a discount, it's an additional cost.

I was so disappointed with my experience with Thrifty at this airport. I have never waited so long to pick up a car I already paid for. I waited over an hour in line. Then, the gentlemen who helped me said that my car was outside and ready. I then waited outside for them to bring my car for another hour. I waited to rent a car that I had paid for, for TWO HOURS. These people have 0 "get up and get moving. " I'd like to think myself as a patient person, but I did have to ask the lady, if this is going to be my experience returning my car, I better know now cause I was going to miss my flight. The customer service could be better, employees should wait to get everyone through the line before they take a break, and need to learn to "hustle. "
Some staff were generally rude. I will never rent from Thrifty ever again.

Terrible customer service. The caucasian lady up front refused to help us process our rented car. This was racially profiling and offensive. Train your staff to be professional and kind.
