Tijuana Airport Bridge Crossing, San Diego CA

I'm going to make this really simple for those of you who don't travel. Do you want to walk directly from the Tijuana airport to customs? If you have a passport you can use this faster line to cross. If you don't have a passport you need to cross at a place they can verify your identity. ONLY GO TO THIS LINE IF YOU HAVE A PASSPORT. If not cross at a standard crossing and deal with the hassle of traveling unprepared. Get a passport and stop wasting everyone's time or use a different crossing. Karens don't get special entry because they throw a tantrum at the border.

This bridge is very convenient. If you are prepared you can cross in a breeze! Also, the cost of flying from and to Tijuana beats the 2 hours deriving from OC.

No Valid passport= no crossing. The Mexican side will make you u-turn.

Ironically you can still walk into the Tijuana airport if you use the otay land crossing and then take a taxi. So what’s the point of the immigration/security check if a threat can bypass it?

Beware! In using this CBX Tijuana airport bridge crossing. Please! DO NOT use on long weekends or Holidays. It took us almost 3 hours to cross over in to Tijuana airport. We missed our flight! And, the airline did not take responsibility for extreme delay in crossing over the bridge. They said ''Airline'' has nothing to do with CBX crossing bridge!
Mexican customs agents were taking their sweet time in processing Mexican entrance permits. Also, there were only 3 agents and at one point only 2 agents operating when 100's of us were trying to cross over to catch our flights! Only 2 agents working on a super busy Labor Day weekend 2020!
Creating huge backup lines! Crowded! Scary! Unsafe! Unhealthy! Non-Social distancing! In the middle of this Covid-19 pandemic! Please! Please! Do Not Use this bridge in the Holidays or run the risk in missing your flight or or arrive over 4 hours ahead of your departure.
Horrible experience!

They don’t tell people that cross to Mexico that if they don’t have passports they can’t enter Mexico and they’ll loose the flights.

CBX is a BAIT-AND-SWITCH scam. They bill themselves as service to quickly cross from San Diego to Tijuana airport and back, but it's anything but. On our trip to Tijuana airport, it took about 50 minutes to get through border check (almost missed the flight). On the way back from Tijuana to San Diego, the line was 2.5 hours to get on the bridge because CBX was understaffed (not because of lack border agents).

Furthermore, it's very expensive for what it is ($30 round-trip per person, $20 one way). Much cheaper and FASTER to cross at Otay Mesa and Uber to the airport.

CBX was the worst experience in otherwise amazing trip to Mexico City.

I give Tijuana Airport Bridge Crossing CBX located at 2745 Otay Pacific Drive, San Diego, CA 92154 FIVE STARS. This set up was a great idea because you are able to enter into MEXICO and return to the U S A, way much faster. Go ahead and enjoy enjoy your 3+ hour drive back when traditionally Crossing back from Mexico. Walking back from Mexico with all your luggage is also a long wait. Enjoy CBX. 5️⃣
