Supermarket Tokyo Central reviews
36Great place to go for all your Japanese food needs. They have a huge assortment of fresh imported items and local fresh items. They also carry non food items. It can be very crowded. Nice staff.
Tokyo central is one of my favorite go-to Asian supermarkets, they offer a lot of fresh produce, fresh meats and seafood.
They offer different types of instant ramen, they don't exclusively sell Japanese food, they also offer some other types of Asian foods.
It can get really busy, make sure you avoid rush hours. Their stock can go low after the rush hours.
They also sell ready made food, you can heat up and also different ways of sushi and rice meals. Warm food is also available. My favorite is the takoyaki.
Great store with friendly staff. Only complaint is the some things run out fast during the tail end of this Pandemic. But that really can't be helped. Highly Recommend!
The store is clean. The parking lot is spacious. Prices are decent but not the cheapest such fruits and vegetables. The sushi treats were gone by the afternoon.
I have only been to this place twice, but love it. They have sashimi grade fish, and all the ingredients to make sushi. They have all the ins and outs from premade to ingredients to high end rice cookers. They even have a nice selection of sake. I find it quite enjoyable to see what they have. I drive 30mins to get there and it's well the drive
First time here but had a great time looking at all the items from Japan. We had to try the sushi and bento boxes.
Great place to buy Japanese goods, groceries, food. In addition to groceries & pre-made food, they also have a small section where you can buy anime related goods.
You will find all kinds of stuff thats foreign in japan.
Anything from food, snacks, drinks, and products from japan.
This is a little hidden jewel in West Covina. Have lots of Asia food and goods on the small scale. Asian products you usually have to order on line. An Asian grocery store that has from seafood, produce, Asian food ready to eat, to what every other little things you can think of. Very clean and friendly store. The name speaks for itself. Live my little friendly neighborhood store.
This has place has every type of Asian food and alcohol beverages. But you need membership card and it's only $1.00 forever. You can't beat that. So I recommend this place and it has plenty of toys for the kids
Very good selection, but kind of pricey. Great customer service. Ready to eat food such as sushi, hot food bar, etc are quite good-but again kind of on the expensive sid.
Make sure to bring a jackrabbit it is cold in there. They have the best sushi there. I at least go there every 2 weeks.
Thye had great food there and it’s very clean! There were also plenty of options there and a variety of foods. Everyday-use objects could also be found there.
Very clean, nice selection of Asian goods. I haven't interacted with the employees enough to critque on but they're friendly.
This place is by far the best Asian market in this area. Their cleanliness is above standard, they have nearly everything you need, and the prices are reasonably modest. I love the Ocean and seafood, but on a hot California day the smell of seafood can be overwhelming. Tokyo Central has that under control with their cleanliness and temperature control. They deserve a 10 out of 10!
The produce is nice and the pre-packaged sushi is well produced and fresh. It's as close to being in Japan at market as you can get being here
Not a lot of Japanese markets to compare them to. But they do a good job with minimal space. Always a fun place to visit if you are adventurous with food. Or if you are Japanese, of course. Not sure what happened to Marukai, but this is almost the same.
This place is awesome.lots of good ramen, noodles, and even frozen potstickers.cool you/anime section.worth a visit.also has a place to order sushi/lunch and eat it indoors.
Although there are not as many products as Marukai, the selection is good and the prepared foods sold by weight is worth it. There is also individually wrapped sushi.
