Tokyo Central Market reviews
39 Impressive selection. Nice area. Tons of merchandise. They sell food, seafood, and clothing. There are two floors but upstairs closes earlier than downstairs.
We were visiting from out of town but if we weren’t, we would certainly come here often.
Newly opened ramen shop is very good, also various selection of Japanese take out foods is delicious
Very nice. Was a murakai. Still nice. Huge selection of all Japanese things and food. Will come back again. Oh by the way the prepared foods are are first grade.
Great Japanese market with variety of other Asian products. Food court is small but food is good.
Love this place! A must go to whenever I'm in Cali! They sell food you don't see in regular grocery store and home good.
Disgraceful online service. It takes forever (two weeks for a bag of rice and a couple of crackers!), you cannot contact customer service (they do not come back to you via email and there is no telephone number), there is no way to cancel the order. Will not use anymore.
This is a wonderful Market. A little expensive but the product is super fresh. They sell authentic Japanese & Hawaiian items everything from grocery, housewares, cosmetics, and fun Pop Culture items.
Always solid, my go to groceries for everything. Very fun to explore since it has a second floor
My husband and my experience was good. We founded some products we use. Such as pork belly and small packages of baby back ribs. Latose free milk, etc. Plenty of different sea foods. Whole red snapper. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We will visit the store again.
Very good selection of foods, antiques, knick-knacks and everything else. All at a good price too!
This was my first visit in a long time (every since the store name change) and seems much roomier than before. And the food court is closed. Still a good stor to visit.
This used to be Marukai. I've been coming here for years. It's now completely remodeled with a fresh face. I found all my Japanese ingredients here.
Good selection of fresh Japanese groceries, great pre-packaged Japanese food. Reasonable prices, fresh meats, store always clean & tidy. Looking forward to the food court opening up again!
Gardena locations, formerly Marukai and Pacific Market, does not appear on the company website. The markets themselves are great. Lots of options. This location have a little bit of everything for home and kitchenware. The food court is a treat while you're there.
It's like things other Tokyo Central I've visited, but it's enormous. A second floor? !
Seriously, it's large enough for one to play yeah if they wanted. And well, it's quite nice to get a taste of another country's culture, but man, is it pricey!
Just make sure you have money on you before you enter! It's well worth visiting.
Great place with a large variety of items! Love there are so many things to shop for! Staff very helpful and polite!
I'm from Hawaii and they have everything I need to cook local food.and food court is off the charts in best food ever. HB.
I go here all the time and it's One of the best Asian market in the City, from fresh bluefin tuna to Wasabi to Kimonos and Samari's, it has a wide range of products, plus it has 2levels of shopping pleasure.
Incredibly clean! Regarding quality and selection there's no stores in the area that can beat Tokyo Central. I'm incredibly impressed at how nice the staff is and knowledgeable! All the employees helped me through my first visit to this extraordinary store without fail. I felt as though I'd been transported to the Orient.
I will be back!
