Tomatina, Roseville CA

Decided to try something new on date night. Found this little gem, and we were surprised first by how crowded it was (good sign), but we were seated within 5 minutes. The service was great- Thanks Austin! The food- authentic, flavorful, delicious.generous portions, and the drinks were incredible. Try the seasonal special entrees or pick from the regular menu, you will not be disappointed! Recommend plan ahead with a reservation, but not necessary. Definitely going back here!

Tried the Spiedini which was very large - delicious from the microwave the next day. Chicken Marsala was choice of another in my group and she loved it.

Very good food. The service was excellent, and the baked penne bolognese was great. Very much recommend.

Best bruschetta in the area! Actually, the only GOOD bruschetta in the area. Delicious Chianti with it. Service always friendly. I like this place, has a nice feel and good, from-scratch Italian food like back home. Fresh mozzarella!

Please support this restaurant. It is in an odd place. If it were near the mall it would be packed all the time! Spread the word and get these people some business! The food is great, the drinks are great, and the prices are amazing. $12.95 for a sandwich and salad or soup with generous portions! You cannot even eat at a fast food restaurant for that anymore. GO THERE!

Me and my father went there. The meatballs were delicious the pizza was perfect, the Pepsi was amazing and the decorations are beautiful. Overall a great restaurant. I invite you to dine instead of ordering out for the full experience.

OMG! Tomatina is for sure the best Italian restaurant I have ever, and I mean ever been to! I had a party of six, and the service was amazing! I had a penne pasta w/ butter and parmesan. And it was absolutely spectacular. There where only 3 staff members, and they usually have to have 5-6. They handled it so well and it was packed too, so I can’t imagine how stressful it was. Overall, I would rate my experience 10/10.

We thought this place was closed when we arrived. Hardly anyone there and after my experience it makes sense. I ordered the fettuccini and a lemonade - both were awful. The lemonade tasted like chemicals and the alfredo had absolutely no flavor. It was $20 for a small plate of disgusting pasta. Insane.

At this restaurant you order through your phone, so you have next to no contact with your server. We had to get up and ask for what we needed, although our server was nice enough. As I write this, I'm also sick with food poisoning and I've eaten nothing out of the ordinary other than the food at Tomatina.

We only went here because the restaurant we had originally chosen was packed and we were in a rush. Please do yourself a service and avoid.

Im sorry but tonight was a complete disappointment. I have eaten at tomatina in walnut creek many many times from my twenties now into my forties which i was obsessed with and rockin location over a dozen. Sorry rocklin. Starting with the garlic rolls 2 were well over done and there was practically no garlic or olive oil. My husband said the chicken parm was "meh". I ordered the Caprese Piadine. First, i hate having to request it soft so it doesn't crumble like a cracker and second, because i HATE mayonnaise.why is it now in the creamy balsamic. I am so disappointed. I know the flavor of mayo and that Balsamic. I had to explain too many times to customers that the olive oil was emulsified to ensure it was dairy and egg free. Tonight it was just gross. When something isnt broken dont fix it. Ive had many items on the Rocklin menu that are not great (new steak piadine). Always room to add and and improve but "legends never die". Sorry for the criticism but sometimes the truth hurts.

I met my co workers for lunch today. First off, you have to order through your cell phone, so it's a very cold experience. Then I ordered the Antipasto Salad, which looked better online then it did in person. Very skimpy on the garbanzo beans, salami, cheese, and olives! For $14.50, I expected more. Then, when I used the bathroom, the bathroom had no toilet paper, toiletseat liners, or hand soap. Overall experience was not good. Will not be back. My coworkers didn't have a good experience either.

Too expensive for what we ordered. Spaghetti and 3 meatballs-$20. Seafood Pomodoro-$22. Pasta and sauce, no protein-$16.25. Kids Mac n cheese-$7.75. Rise in inflation doesn't justify these prices. Especially when it's just pasta and sauce. The red sauce did taste above average, but the prices will keep us from returning.

Went there on a Saturday evening with my daughter. The place looked closed. Only a couple of customers there, and chairs on top of the tables. The servers don't take your orders, it's all done on your phone after scanning QR code on the table. Not an uncommon practice in the Covid Era. Every item your order has the choice of appetizer, entree, or dessert. That way they'll know the order you want your food delivered. We ordered our food as entrées, and I ordered a pizza to bring home for my wife as a dessert. I had the intention to tell them to bring the pizza in a to-go box when our dinners arrived. Lo and behold, the pizza was the first thing that showed up. So now it sat around and got cold before we could even finish eating. I had the lasagna, which was slightly overcooked, and very light on cheese. Average size portion, sitting in a sea of sauce, to give the appearance that it is more than it was. My daughter had spaghetti, which she really liked. Once we got our food, we were pretty much abandoned by our server. We were never checked on. Our drinks were never refilled, and it seemed like an eternity waiting for someone to check on us after we finished eating, so that we could request our pizza be brought back, so that we could leave. My first, and last visit.

Food was a pleasant surprise, everything was delicious. The pizza is better than most in the area and I recommend the tomato cream sauce for pasta.

We had to use a QR code and our phones to
order and had no menu’s. The waiter offered to help us use our phones to order, the app errored out a few times, my daughter does not have a phone…it just seemed like a lot of work so we went to another restaurant. I don’t go out to a restaurant to enter my credit card details on a phone, and confirm my email address.

I would have let it go and just never gone back, but I wrote the review because the next family that came in as we were leaving was given paper menus…without even having to ask.

Food is good. You order from the app, not your servers. Seems like they are kinda slow w/no urgency or care to let you know why it's taking so long just to get a drink.

This was our first time at this restaurant. The food was great and our server was excellent

Food was very well balanced, not too rich or bland, just perfect. They service is also great. They do payments a little differently but it works very well and is actually pretty cool once you use it for the first time.

The Lasagna, Salmon and the Spaghetti are really good. I could have used a little more sauce on the spaghetti but otherwise I would give it a try.
