Tommy Bahama Restaurant, Bar & Store, Newport Beach CA

Never have I ever had such a big tasty piece of halibut prepared to perfection as I did here. Our waitress was a character and provided excellent service. Loved the atmosphere too.

All I ever you tell is the coconut shrimp and it's good they have a good happy hour from I take three to six and that's about all I can say about the place

The server had a hard time remembering our orders. I went with my family, but some of our orders were messed up/unsatisfactory. The food (fish, potatoes and veggies) was cold for one order and another was missing a salad. My food (burger, fries and sangria) were delicious and I liked the goat cheese appetizer. Both the desserts (butter cake and pineapple creme brulee) were okay to me. My family loved the African tea, steak and coconut shrimp, though.

Always have great experience and the staff goes above and beyond to assure a great shopping/dining experience.

I love Tommy Bahama for transporting you to Hawaii, from the drinks to food to dessert. A great place to go for a quick getaway to experience food and drink inspired by Hawaii.

Great happy hour! Legit Mai Tai. Check it out. And if you need a shirt, they just happen to have a store attached too. LoL

It was a pleasant night out and the food was good overall. Service was friendly but could have been more on top of things. Empty wine glasses are a bummer! Skip the Warm Goat Cheese appetizer and go with the Coconut Shrimp instead! We did enjoy our entrees of Thai Shrimp and Scallops and Crab Cakes. Pineapple Creme Brulee sounded so delightful but unfortunately it was cold and would have been better warm.

Well. I didn't eat the clothes, (this app is asking me about the Tommy Bahama restaurant) but I did buy some cool stuff!

Delicious cocktails and food! Mai Tai remains the best absolute classic and their Grapefruit Basil Martini is a must have. Variety of options for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Highly recommend the brussel sprouts, chicken tortilla soup, and fish tacos. Instantly transported to their Wailea location on Maui

Out door dinning is beautiful. Lots of plants. We eat here several times a year, and have tried many different selections. The food and service is exactly what you should expect from this island wear retailer. After a meal, you are 5 minutes from the ocean, which makes this an ideal dinner stop!

Bartenders are amazing the place is just like so amazing. They're great people you have to come here

Went here after looking up a list of good restaurants in the Newport Beach area. This was one of the higher recommendations. Turns out it is only 10 minutes from where I was staying so decided to give it a try. Great food and service! I would say it's a little on the pricier side, but definitely worth it

Love the food and drinks at Tommy Bahama. We came in just before happy hour (30 mins too early.starts at 3pm), but sitting outside at a table had the ambiance of being in Hawaii. The goat cheese flatbread was amazing, as were the chicken Tinga quesadillas. We wanted to order/eat more but we stopped by for only a quick bite. We'll be back!

If you love puffs of baked bread mounds from Heaven, then you'd better come to Tommy Bahama's! The sweet nutmeg butter is worth every calorie to be lavishly spread across the glorious puff's and crush your carb craving in one sitting! Oh but there's more.

The Tortilla Soup.where do I begin.this perfectly flavored soup boasts of actual chicken and a rich flavor that is worth every spoonful, to die! However, I am Convinced that the only difference between a cup and a bowl is the size of the rim

And for a salad fix, they don't have a house salad, but you need some greens to cancel out that butter and puffs, so order the mango salad and ask for half, it's perfect and has all kinds of special toppings that you'll love! (not like other places that proudly throw a handful of bagged greens on a plate and nothing else, disgraceful)

So yeah, get your buns over to Tommy Bahama's!

The lump blue crab bisque is out of this world! I drive from riverside to Newport just for their bisque. The service is outstanding as well as the ambiance. I will continue to go their until I can no longer.

A wonderful evening at Tommy Bahama in Newport Beach. We had reservations and were seated at a nice table outside. Carlos our server was terrific and very attentive. We had the coconut shrimp appetizer and drinks to start which were terrific. Carlos took our entree order and my wife had the Salmon entree and I ordered the filet mignon plate. Both were very good. We finished the evening with a shared slice of pumpkin cheesecake Ala mode which was out of this world. The coffee was excellent as well. Great people, food and ambiance. Highly recommended.

We had dinner reservations this evening in the outside patio at Tommy Bahamas and had a wonderful time. We were greeted by the hostess who seated us and she was very friendly and so sweet. Melissa was our waitress and was nothing short of fantastic. We started with drinks and the coconut shrimp which was simply scrumptious. The drinks were solid as well and well made by the professional chemist behind the bar. We had their bread which is heavenly as well. After a few drinks and some great conversation we ordered our entrees. My wife had the salmon entree which she loved and left nothing on the plate. My wife said it was perfectly cooked and seasoned and so tender. Speaking of tender I had the filet mignon medium rare cooked to perfection with cauliflower mashed potatoes and arugula. The steak was tender, tasty and just simply perfect. We chose not to have desert but finished with a lovely cup of expresso Java. Highly recommended and simply amazing!

Our first time here. Our server Jenna was the best! Her meal suggestions were spot on. She explained how the chef prepares monthly specials, which we will be back for!

I ordered the blackened Mahi Mahi tacos. There is three tacos and a side of your choice. I think they were extra greasy. I wanted something light but these tacos were too greasy and heavy, in my opinion. They were delicious though.
Customer service was great. The restaurant's ambiance was amazing as well.
