Town House Motel, Chico CA

Disgusting and smoky rooms with fire holes in the bedspread and hair in the shower. Worst motel ever.

What I really liked about the motel is the staff very nice and friendly. If there is someone causing a problem they are right on top of it. Very nice and quiet

Just tired and I needed a cheap room for the night. No amenities, limited movie selection, all of which contain ads, so I just shut off the TV. No wash cloths in the bathroom.

Overall a good place to stay. Clean room, quiet location. Good customer service. If you're just looking for an inexpensive place with no-frills this is it.

The most bothersome to me about this place is in the room I was in there were two electrical outlets the were in my opinion fire hazards. Both were usable if you were not scared of speaking! I did contact the front desk and they sent someone to look at them. However, two days later when I checked out they were still there waiting for someone.
The motel is in a good location just off the freeway. So that's a plus. Off the main road set back in the yard it's not as noisy as it could of been. TV fine.

Came in expecting the worst given reviews for this place. However, it was a pretty decent experience.

Pros:
+I looked, there were no bugs of any sort on our bed or floor.
+ The AC, fridge, microwave looked and functioned just fine.
+ Overall, the place was clean.
+ Easy parking
+ Close to Chico State and other shopping areas
+ No weirdos hanging out in the area. Felt pretty safe even late at night (we got there at around midnight 2 times)
+ Affordable! During graduation other places doubled their prices. We paid $150 for a 1 bed during graduation weekend

Downside:
- Towels were stained. Not like they weren't washed, more like they had really dark stains that couldn't be removed by the washer or something. So, def bring your own towel.
- Minor physical damages (e.g. A little damage to the center if the bathroom door, screw holes from things that were probably screwed on the wall before - small details like that).
- Not the most chic-looking place on the outside

Overall, I would stay there if you are in a tight budget and really needed a place to crash. Not the most pretty place, but it is safe, clean (except for towels), and affordable.

It was very poor. Service was quick but the place is not good.leaking toilet tank, and face bowl also leaking.dirty towel on the floor in the bathroom.

The female owner is extremely rude. The rooms stink of mildew and smoke. Just an overall very gross place.

Friendly, clean. That's all you need to know. Will kept. Recently remodeled. Quiet. Prefer it to others in town.

If I could give it no stars I would. They are disgusting and full of bed bugs. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE

This place has saved me, many times.
I appreciate the management, staff and regular tenants. All good folks.

Walked in and a cockroach flew in the room and landed on the dirty floor, checked the beds and there was brown/black stains everywhere, checked the bathroom and was afraid to use the toilet. Walked right out and checked out. Couldn't get a refund no matter how hard we argued. Don't go

Absolutely Nightmare! I Do not understand How or Why places like this stay open. Checked in Late at night and woke up to use the bathroom and COCKROACHES were EVERYWHERE! I canceled our Planned 3 night stay and Left the following morning! When leaving our Luggage Bags Had Cockroaches Crawling out of them! This is why i spent MY Time to Tell Y’all the Truth. Don’t Believe it, Go see for yourself

Absolutely disgusting! There were bedbugs and roaches everywhere. On top of that my room had trash from previous guests. I want to vomit thinking about my one night stay

The rooms are decent mine includes two double beds a refrigerator and microwave coffee pot decent size flat screen TV bathtub shower wheelchair accessible AC works really good the refrigerator freezer also works really good in my room I had to turn it down from Maximum to halfway because my drinks were freezing in the refrigerator portion there is several good movie channels unfortunately my experience hear my neighbors in the next two rooms are always drinking and fighting all hours in the day and night. I really don't understand how management allows such extreme domestic violence guests

Front desk woman was friendly over the phone and in person. Coffee maker that has the coffee, cups, and sugar. As for the showers, the water pressure is pretty decent and the temperature of the water gets really warm. I will admit, there were some blood stains on the bathroom walls and the towels did look a little worse for wear. I have not noticed any big of sorts, though. The room is nice and quiet and the bed is comfortable. I am not a picky person though. For $78 I can honestly say, I am not dissatisfied. I have not tried to turn on the TV and probably won't. I would suggest that if you decide to stay here, ask for the internet password as you get your room key.
