T.P. Banh Bao, San Diego CA

I am a customer there, I used to order 10 boxes of the frozen bun like 5 times from this store send to my friend in San Jose and bought for my self several times already from this store because we’re like their buns. But today I bought a box for the regular flavor and I want it hot so she said I’ve to wait 10 min. It’s cost at $12.93 so I gave her $20 bill but she change me only $2.07 so I call her that my change not enough because I didn’t put money to purse yet and she gave me $5 more, she said she not sure she have to look to camera so I said yes please check your camera. 10 min later she back with my order and I asked her that did you check your camera? She said no she have no time. What’s I am disappointed with the seller is her speech so rude and she didn’t she sorry because it not my fault she thought I cheated her with $5 how she treat customer like this? Ok I’ll not go back to that store anymore.

Went there yesterday and today. While it's not a vegan eatery, they do have a selection of items of interest to vegans, and the owner (?) is a sweet lady who is herself accidentally vegan. She meditates 3 hrs/day, every day, and calls herself vegetarian (but does not eat meat, eggs, dairy, honey).

What I bought: accidentally vegan "meat" pie (delicious!) ; All Vegetarian Inc brand vegan jerky (very tasty, no bad aftertaste, great texture) ; All Veg brand vegan bacon slices (frozen, have not tried yet). They also had vegan duck and other items in the freezer section. I've not been able to find this style of vegan bacon anywhere else in the Mira Mesa area. Looking forward to a nice vegan BLT sandwich soon.

I polished off the vegan pies both days, so no photo yet.

I only want bao buns from here and no where else. I’m sad that I live 40min away but this place is the best I’ve been to

3 stars because of the customer service. But the bao buns were a bomb!

I tried to pay with a $100 bill that I just took
out from my bank, the guy at the registrar said he can't accept it as payment, said their machine isn't reading it as a real money. That the bill I handed is fake. I told him to hold on to my order and I will be back.

I went out and purchased something else from the mexican store next door who read my money as a real $100 bill! I couldn't pay with card since I left my cards at home.

I love the pork bao buns, brings so many childhood memories of my Ama making siopao. Wish they could make a bigger size

I also got the milk tea which tasted like coffee, with pearls that didn't taste anything like from a boba place. I don't know if this is a vietnamese thing, just was not satisfied with it. Overall the bao buns were a hit!

The baos here are delicious and perfectly sized. Last time I was here, I bought a few 9-pack boxes for a party and they were a hit. The traditional Vietnamese ones are my favorite because they almost taste like my mom's baos (she doesn't use MSG). The sweet egg with mango and pineapple are my favorite sweet baos.

I've only tried their bao but they're very delicious! Love being able to order one or two at a very affordable price as a snack or light meal!

Delicious! Food and drink was excellent and staff was so friendly. Everything was perfect. I am going to come back again for sure, maybe a little too much!

Their buns are so delicious! My favorite steamed bun place. You even have the choice of hot or cold to enjoy now or later, and prep is super easy. I also love their egg rolls. My favorite bun is their savory pork, chinese sausage, and chicken egg bun. They have so many options you're bound to find a favorite or two as well!

Very authentic Vietnamese place. At least it seemed to me.
