Trader Joe's reviews
21Nice selection of fresh fruit and the rarest thing of all during covid a public bathroom bought chocolate covered pretzels and peaches service dog friendly
The general experience at the trader Joe's in Berkeley, slightly more friendly and laid back than usual, so bonus points.
Convenient Berkeley location, practically sitting on top of several bus stops and a parking garage in back, friendly staff and fresh food. Thank you too all the staff who worked through the pandemic, you are my heroes!
I'm a big fan of this store. It's smaller than some others, but it has what I need and is almost never crowded. Plenty of bike parking in the garage in back, and the staff are always helpful and available
Good products and friendly people. A bit crowded though, and people will definitely get within 6 feet of you. But at least they enforce their mask rule well!
Very good variety and quality of product and produce, only needs to reduce the amount of plastic packaging of food
I'm a big Trader Joe's fan. I have to give this location one star though because they inexplicably gave me plastic bags. I've never even seen plastic bags there. They bagged my groceries where I couldn't see. When I asked what happened to the paper bags they said they have some. They didn't even ask me before they gave me plastic bags.
They're still going above and beyond to deliver an excellent customer experience. Mates, merchants, and managers are exemplars off how to get it done during the pandemic.
I'm convinced that this Trader Joe's has the shortest wait time, the one close to my apartment takes so long & has a smaller beer selection. The customer service here is great as always!
I wish they were closer to my home, and offer more options of warm ready food. Besides that, my favorite supermarket.
TJs is always a pleasant shopping experience. Can't believe how nice the staff is. They don't hold everything you're looking for, but the basics are there and I like that there aren't 5 different products to compare with. Their house brand is generally really good and decently priced.
Trader Joe's is a great store with loads of organic food. The variety is really good, only downside is: they don't really have fresh bread. Considering it should have a "family owned" small countryside-feeling, I would expect them to have fresh bread without plastic packaging.
Staff is really helpful and friendly
The staff is friendly and fast. I shop in small trips and so tend to use the express checkout most days and it certainly lives up to its name. This location accepts EBT cards and the staff is very knowledgeable about them and always seem happy to help if there are any questions or issues at the register. The store is clean and well stocked. The clientele is friendly enough as well. And if anyone isn't so friendly, there is a security guard on duty to help - though mostly they just look bored:)
Everything you ever wanted and more.
It's a pretty big store for a Trader Joe's, obviously still smaller than your average grocery store. Staff are helpful, and they have a good selection at food prices.
This location can get a little too busy, and the little parking garage they have in back can be cramped. But the shopping itself is great! Pick up some weird new snacks, a cheap bottle of wine, or something from their multitude of fresh flowers.
This store is always clean and everyone is helpful. They also check to out fast unlike Safeway and luck's who open 1 or 2 registers and then just line you up.
One of the biggest Trader Joe's I've ever been in. Went shopping on the weekend and wasn't nearly as crowded as expected. Healthy and reasonably priced snakes and groceries. Love TJ's!
TJ's doesn't always have the best prices, but they always have a selection of things that you really want.
Very clean and organized trader joes.parking is around the back via the side street.staff is helpful and friendly.can get crowded though and garage can fill up
Small store and orders aren't great. Always seem to run out of important stock half way through the day. Parking can be a pain so if you can walk, I'd do that.
Staff is nice and helpful most of the time.
Also, not store specific but I'm super annoyed with how many products they discontinue.
Great options on the racks.fresh foods. On a bit costlier side but better values than other similar branded stores near downtown Berkeley!
