Trader Joe's, El Cerrito CA

Friendly cashier who offered to help me bag my groceries. I was surprised! This store has limited products so I can only get the basics.

I’ve been shopping here for 10 years. I work in another grocery company but I always travel to shop here after work until my experienced this morning of one of the cashier (I forgot to asked the name out of respect but she’s blonde and tall and normally on the 3rd checkstand) who are clearly racist. I was on my way to her checkstand when she just told me she’s closed (not explaining the reason or didn’t even apologized). I just respectfully moved to the other line which is next from her counter. After how many minutes there was a woman pushing her cart and she called her and helped her while I was still on the line. She even stare at me while she’s unloading the customers items. It’s sad because I am a person of color and only late when I figure out what she did. She did not even apologized. I worked in a grocery and I don’t mind to wait in the line but I’m saying this because I don’t want anybody to experience to be treated like that especially Albany and El Cerrito community. She’s rude and arrogant. I should have to asked for her name. Worse experienced after 10 years almost everyday shopping in this store.

Great small store for ready to eat meals, wraps, sandwich, also meals for reheating.
Great fresh fruit & vegetable.
Great meat selection.
Great frozen selection.also, Great beer & wine.

This is my favorite grocery store. Good selection, good prices. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.

If you like shopping at Trader Joe's but hate the lines this is the one for you. Their express lane is very fast and I've never seen any of the checkout lanes closed.

Location itself is on the smaller side, so selection maybe not as great as some of the larger locations.

It’s Trader Joe’s, it’s got good stuff and friendly staff. It’s always super busy though and not the cleanest of their locations I’ve visited. For that, you need to visit the one in Palm Desert.

Its a big family store service they have a good teamwork everybody are very active, great customer service very fast, the atmosphere is so great and welcoming.

Came here this evening and got gorgeous flowers at a great price, a delicious TV dinner of cod Provencal, sparkling orange water, and empty boxes for an impending move. I love Trader Joe's!? !

Smaller than some TJs where I used to live in OC but still can find all my favorites. Cheese prices and selection are great. Cracked wheat sourdough bread keeps well. Ethnic frozen entrées you can't find elsewhere. Fresh nuts at good prices. Shop weekday mornings to avoid crowds. Ample parking. Helpful & friendly staff.

Don't Like Shopping There in the Evening,
Sore is Always Filled With Workers Re-Stocking Shelves, Boxes Everywhere, Such a Hazard.

They Should Create Jobs at Night to Restock the Shelves When Customers are Not Trying to Shop

It smells of fresh flowers and herbs. The shop is clean, tidy, there is bread other than toast, lots of open tills. Fast purchase.

They are very polite and nice. I just told them I bought some thing and I was not satisfied, they gave me a new one with out any thing and he told me we believe you

IParking was easy. Store aisles are spacious and easily maneuverable with my shopping cart My favorite selections were well stocked. Staff was helpful as well.

Everything is fresh, varied and at good prices. The meat department is also very good, including the fish. The vegetables are top notch.

Nice small store but often crowded. Staff is friendly, parking is.wierd. Large lot but often full near the store. Don't seem to have eggs lately (March 2023).

Staff who work in this location are mostly friendly and helpful. Occasionally you may encounter a few customer service staff who can be rude and don't care about the customers, but the most of them are nice. My only gripe is that they have gradually taken away quite many items I used to get there through the years, and they now have fewer selections of items than it did before. Nonetheless, it is still a nice, clean local market to shop with reasonable price.
